And the last issue, my car is not as easy to tune as others, the car runs great on the tunes, but all but Moto-East had start up issues, and its always had them before the E85. now that its cold i really havent had a issue with it, but thats why we assumed it may be a fuel pump issue. I do have a Map from Bill that is a little leaner, but it had more start up problems then the one i have now. We have chalked it up to the ECU swap that Toyota did, as i saw personally the same tune work on another car with the exact same set up, but wont run for crap on mine.. Kit wise no issues, but the tune has been a nightmare with my car. It may or may not have anything to do with power, but Church said there was more power in it for the lack of timing and as rich as it was.. right now im happy with it. -Thomas |

Definitely seems like a lot of factors to be considered. Don't think (could be wrong) elevation is an issue since psi is the same everywhere, like pounds. (By poundsI mean weight) I believe it's only an issue with NA cars really, but someone else is (most likely) more knowledgeable about this than me, and like I said I could be dead wrong about that. Either way I'm sure it is in beast mode with more left on the table, especially after how you've explained it. Good luck with the tuning, looking forward to those maxed out numbers!

So need opinions here. Who has the c38 with a header that is running a delicious flash n go, or the moto East tune.. Opinion on drivability and any numbers on power? Trying to decide on which tune for my spring install. I'm keeping my stock injectors as well.

What i would do is call them each or reach out and see which one gels better with you. they both make good tunes with good power. See which one clicks better, It's never a bad thing to have a good relationship with your tuner -Thomas |

Any tricks on bleeding? Followed the instructions but no fluid out of the "out" port yet. Haven't started the car yet either

I honestly don't know how you guys with the C38 do it. I've got the C30, low boost pulley, and with E85 I'm spinning most of 2nd gear. 1st gear is scary unless I can get it to hook up. And when it does hook up, I'm getting tunnel vision from how fast I'm approaching warp speed.
That said Moto Mike has really dialed in my car. Even on pump gas it feels so much faster than the other 3 tuners have tried on my car. Next up is the skunk 2 radiator and mishimoto thermostat and I'm ready for the summer heat. |

He states he expects to get low 12's or maybe even high 11's out of his setup and I cannot expect the car to hold up very well much past that and I wouldn't think that most people that bought the car could realistically expect to gain much more than that without huge expenses...and at that point you are in a whole different tier of cars that you could/should have bought if you expect reliability. The kw c30 is at the top of my list. Last edited by doberman8u; 01-09-2015 at 05:04 PM. |

until then ![]() I cant imagine what 500+ turbo cars do.. people say this is how the car shouldve come and i disagree. People are putting them in ditches and curbs with 160 hp at the wheel, they dont need 300+ lol. A great tuner here in the 86 world, said 250hp at the wheels is perfect for this car, 300hp is the limit, anything more is just a "manhood" measuring contest. and as much as i spin the tires, and hunt for traction i kinda believe him.. -Thomas |
