In CA it has 3 years before needing to be smogged. I'll include all the stock parts to be able to easily put the car back to stock/smoggable condition, but the car is being sold as-is, as a completed modified hotrod presently.
Buyer will have to work out any smog issues. If I have to, I'll put the car back to stock and sell it with smog certificate, but I'd also have to sell off the aftermarket parts and then this car would just be another low miles BRZ. |

It looks like even in California, and even on transfer of ownership, the car has 3 years to go before needing to be smogged.
6 years for new cars, 4 years for transfer of ownership. Everything (except the stock wheels and tires) that came off the car will be included so the car can be put back to smoggable condition in 3 years (or whenever). I have the reciepts from the shop for alll the work done ($18,000 worth) and then there's another $4,000 I spent on wheels and tires and coilovers. $27,000, only 5000 miles on the car. PM me for more details. |

If I can't sell the car as a completed hotrod as it sits for $27k, then I'm going to put the car back to stock and sell the stock car for $21k and sell off all the aftermarket stuff separately (and probably make out with much more than $27k in the end).
$27 is a steal for this car as it sits right now. I don't need to sell it. I'm getting a Pantera hopefully, and do not want to keep 2 hotrod cars. I'm getting the Pantera whether I sell the BRZ or not. Car has 3 years before needing smog in CA, and I found good rates on transport though, someone should jump on this deal! I don't want to have to deal with undoing all the work I did to make this car perfect as it sits now. |

I was just throwing 21k out to see if we could make any kind of deal! Since no one has jumped on the 27k I would assume (hate that word) that knowone else thought it was the steal either but maybe you could get half of what you paid for the parts you take off. Except you can't get labor, tuning back plus labor to reinstall and then the $6-700 (guess) you would spend on a painted front bumper. Plus a lowmileage 2013 doesn't bring anything close to 21k around here. Right or Wrong I don't know but I also found a shipper who has a daughter that lives in SF

Just checked Craigslist, where I found maybe fifteen 2013 BRZ limiteds, ALL $21,000 and over. Average was 22-24k. All had many more miles than mine, and none had anything close to the mods mine has.
Buying out of state you save sales taxes you know. Even if you started with an $18000 FRS you couldn't even come close to building the same car as mine for $27,000. Nope, $27,000 it is, or I keep it or part it out and sell it as stock. Maybe after I get my Pantera and the car hasn't sold I might be slightly flexible on price. That's a month away. |

Thats right I don't pay sales tax in Ca. but I do pay tag, title and tax of 6% in Ok. and thats on the selling price not a NADA or KBB price. A month away might even be better but usually when I try to sell something there's usually only one guy that has the money

$27,000 is the price.
In a bit I'll find the receipt and list of every mod and labor costs from the shop. |

1) Sell car for $27000 (put in separate writing) 2) on CA title, in the field where it says "sale price", put a lower amount. But be warned: depending on the state, a lower sale price could impact your insurance claim value. You can also always just sell the car on the CA title based on used prices of stock car, and not include the $27k modded price on the recorded sale price. -alex |

I had a friend get in trouble doing that when the seller claimed the actual sale amount on his taxes. My buddy had to pay a hefty penalty fee.

It doesn't really matter because I'm not paying 27k and he's not selling for less than 27k even tho I am probably the buyer for the car with cash in hand. Everybody has a different opinion but the car is only worth what someone is willing to pay so whats it worth fellow clubbers?

I have the cash in hand to buy my Pantera (if it is everything it is supposed to be) AND keep my BRZ. I don't need to sell the BRZ, I'd just prefer not to keep 2 hotrod money pits.
I'm not going to give my BRZ away though, not for a lowball offer. If i don't get the Pantera, the BRZ is getting sent to Element Tuning for a new 9k rpm racing engine build. |
