My copy seemed to download just fine, didn't have any issues. Ironically, couldn't play Destiny tonight due to sever errors. Maybe they secretly want us playing Halo instead?

I started Halo:CE yesterday after picking up the game. Sure, the graphics are definitely dated, even with the anniversary edition, but man I sure love the simplicity of the game. After playing Destiny for the last 2 months, it was actually refreshing to go back and just play without a million things to do or swap out etc. The little bad guys with the triangular backs crack me up, how they run off screaming with their arms up as you're shooting them. They say some pretty funny stuff too. I swear one of them said "run away" as I was blasting him.

Not to mention the music is absolutely top notch. I could listen to the soundtrack over and over again.

Anyone else having issues with the matchmaking. I'm aware there are some server issues they're addressing, but maybe someone's had some luck playing a few games.

Nope, haven't tried the matchmaking yet and not sure when I will to be honest. Destiny will probably continue to consume my time when I am wanting to play co-op. I did start the campaign though and for now that is probably what I will stick with when I play Halo. I want to get through the campaigns so that way I will be ready for Halo 5 when it comes out.

I've gotten a couple matches in. It plays just like original Halo 2 which is perfect for me. Weapons and everything spawn in the exact same spots. Teabagging is back.

Awesome. I definitely want to try playing with you guys this weekend if we're all going to be on. I should be on for some time friday night, saturday, and sunday.

Nice. Just keep in mind there are still a lot of network issues with the game. I waited 10 minutes to get into a match at one point and wasn't even by my TV. Microsoft and 343 really dropped the ball on this one and ironically it's on their franchise title.


Let me know how it turns out. I usually don't have time to be on the Xbox during weekends so the earliest I'd be back on after tonight is Monday night. I suck at PvE, but PvP is a whole other story.

Anyone planning on playing the Beta today? I'm going to check it out when I get home, hopefully it's working.

Also, I downloaded the Halo Channel on XBL, I've watched the "Sprint" episodes and started Halo:Nightfall last night. Pretty decent so far.

Yeah, 343 really dropped the ball by releasing a broken game. It's a shame really and hopefully it doesn't cause problems with Halo 5, but on the other hand it may very well give them a fire to work extra hard to redeem themselves. I also saw that a revamped Halo:ODST is going to be given out free to anyone who bought the MCC as an apology for the screw up.

I read that too but since that was by far the worst in the series I couldn't care less. The game is getting sold the same day the beta ends. Assuming the beta isn't a total train wreck too...
