I got a rubber plug that fits into the tubular metal of a chair or table leg. 22mm internal diameter. Came in a pack of 4 but of course only needed 1.

I'm going to get that Home Depot plug. I just left the hole open in the firewall after I removed the sound tube. Might as well plug it up for under a buck. Thanks for the info!

Just an update to let people know of current options: I used a 1/2" 'endcap' from the plumbing section of Lowe's and it fits perfectly. $0.28 + tax

It's made of off-white plastic but gets covered up by the carpet anyway so nbd

Just to let you guys know... I plugged the hole with a tampon.

I just had to trim it down a bit. Regular size.

The string is great for removing the plug as well. haha

Car sounds much better, IMO.

Old thread is old... It was found the plug for the power outlet in the glove compartment is the perfect size and free as everyone has one.
