On a side note, why do people bitch SO much about the interior? Its not like your going to go out in your car sit in it and read a newspaper while drinking a cup of coffee.. jesus christ.

i think 50% of drivers do just this on the morning commute. paper open and covering the steering wheel with cup in one hand.

we had to put every bit of pressure our size 12s could muster to the floorboard just to get the engine revving higher than 4,500 rpm

Anyways, about the actual review, I think it's pretty interesting what they said about the transmissions. I don't have a lot of experience (actually very little) driving manual trans cars, but I was planning on getting this in manual. Obviously I'm a little on the fence about it but I keep hearing great things about the auto. Tough decisions! Beautiful car, great handling, and 2 excellent transmission choices!

The one thing I would agree with this review after test driving the car myself is that the automatic has a hell of a good transmission. Those shifts were fast and the rev matching made high speed corning a lot more enjoyable. but at the same time to get it anywhere past 3500rpm to hear that oh-so-sweet exhaust note you really did have to mash that pedal. Which isn't something a respectable person would do on their daily commute especially with all the cops out there. To quote someone else "the engine doesnt begin to come alive until after breaking the 3500 - 4000rpm range, that's where the true fun lives." Manual is still the way to go.

haters make me LOVE this car even more than I already do!!! just means that much more because I actually get the premise the FR-S was built on as do most of us on here. this car isn't about numbers, it's about something that counts for a lot more, the experience. not to mention this car is uber sexy (when was the last time a car was this good looking at this price point? seriously). couldn't be happier with outcome waiting all these years to see and feel this car!!:happy0180:
