insurance

I am 58, driving 42 years no accidents, no tickets , live near square 1 and mine is $1926. for driving to and from work 13 kms. if you want cheap insurance a new corvette is cheaper than a 10 year old Honda civic. go figure. and I am a broker!!

Well since everybody insists in comparing apples to walruses!
Live in a average neighborhood in London, 55 years old, no accidents or tickets, drive over 7000 kilometers a month and pay $1289 a year.
That is with paying extra for accident forgiveness, a lower deductible and a couple of other add ons that I do not claim to understand.

30 year old unmarried male in Vanier, ON. $1177.44 per year. One speeding ticket for 10km/h over the limit from 2013, that's it.

No you need to change where you live and you also have to chop your penis off I'm 20 with a clean record except for one ticket of 7 over (no points) and I pay almost 5k a year…

My neighbour is the same age as me and she has an 04 STI with 3 tickets working out to 7 points and she was paying $2900 last year, this year she officially changed her residence to her apartment in waterloo and her rates dropped to $2200…

DO NOT cancel your policy because that will only be used against you. just stick with your insurance company and drive safe, once you reach 25 (which is the magical year you become a safe driver) your rates will drop like crazy!

Canceling a policy only counts against you if you have it canceled by your insurance company.

Really? I was told by my broker that insurance companies highly regard customer loyalty, so its better to just stay on for the long term than start fresh through another company… but tbh he's an idiot (he once told me its illegal for him to insure a rhd car even if its >15 years old) so...

loyalty only counts in claims where the coverage could be denied but they give you a break for loyalty. when your under 25 look everywhere but be sure you divulge any acc;s or tickets. every co changes rates by territory constantly. we get updates on rates for home and auto at a dizzying pace. the biggest rating factor after territory and age is length of time licensed. and yes its true insurance co's still charge more for boys than girls. mostly because boys are more daring and may show off more than girls. from my obersvations in trafficgirls tend to text more but guys tend to be a bit more aggressive plus we tend to upgrade our cars more.no matter the sex there are way too many drivers who are clueless and don't know basic driver etiquette. the overall attitude seems to be " f.u., its all about me"

I find that more with BMW and Mercedes drivers. I think it's because they belive that the more you pay for your car, the more the road is yours to do with as you will.

There is no way to get out of ICBC Insurance because that is the only insurance company for British Columbia. It is already fixed there and no way to get a different company. Tough luck OP, that is the amount you will have to pay for the Twins. The thing to get cheaper would be keeping a clean record and get into that Star Program (I don't know if that what they called).

Cheerios,

I just bought my 13 frs mt and am with belairdirect.com. Im paying $1107 a year. And that is with. 300 deductible and all the accident forgiveness. As well as purchase price replacement. Which is nice because depreciation doesn't matter then. Also I'm 32 male. But im a ginger and they discriminate against us lol
