ICBC Insurance estimate

Hey guys about to make a purchase on a 2015 FRS this January. Already got my deposit down, just waiting for its arrival. aNyways, I was just wondering what I should expect my insurance rates to be like. Cause I've been asking around and I'm getting a lot of mixed answers(understandable because of different factors) but if my insurance rates are going to be nearing 5k/yr i would actually reconsider making this purchase

some little facts, I'm a male 19 yrs of age, had my first license(L) in 2011(3 years about), have had no accidents and should be expecting to go with a 2M liability, 1k collision deductible, 500 comprehensive deductible, and have lived in a pretty safe neighbourhood for about 10+ years now.

All advice is appreciated, thanks.

I'm only a few years older and I'm paying close to $3600/yr for just my FR-S but I've got multiple vehicles so that's probably a lower price than if it was my only one.

2160/year with 300 for deductible... 23 yr male

Mine is about 2200. That comes with 300 deductibles, and a clause that says if I total my car, I get reimbursed for the original purchase price with no depreciation.

I'm 23, male, 2 speeding tickets for 20 over and one not at fault accident on my record.

Well shit, sounds like I should see about switching insurers.
Edit: I just noticed yall are in Canada which probably has something to do with the difference :P

Also, I can't remember if BC has provincial or private insurance, but I'd recommend going with BelAir Direct if that's an option.

So you're going to buy a car that you don't even know what your insurance rates will be? ...LMAO!!!

If anything, you should be calling your insurance company first to get a quote on said car before you do any sort of car buying haha.

inexperienced and 19 years-old, male, sports car, and in Vancouver... yea, you're looking at $5k a year. Sounds about right.

Wtf how are you paying the same as me and I've got nothing on my record?

When I left BC last month I had 5 Mil in liability, $500 deductible comp + coll for $1600 a year. I'm 24 with a clean record and have had insurance with ICBC for 7 years. The best thing to do is just call a broker and they can give you a quick quote.

Not worth comparing to BC aka ICBC. Totally different rates / system.

Well, one of the speeding tickets was at a set of lights with the camera, which doesn't really count toward insurance. The other I got a couple weeks ago so I'm not sure if it's on my record or not yet. I'd assume my insurance company saw it because I just updated my policy this week.

How are you guys paying less than me ? And I have nothing on my record as well and I'm the same age. I need to switch insurance providers.
