So. Are you on the metric system and is your display showing an average fuel consumption of 7.4 liters per 100km, or are my eyes deceiving me?
I have about the same consumption 7,4L/100km

Yes, yes and no!
Was just a joke picture as that was the original theme of this thread so wasn't worried about quality!
I am actually at 7.3 about 98% of the time but the car was sitting warming up for a while this morning (due to some freezing drizzle last night) so it had a brief excursion into 7.4.

I reset mine after the snow fell, to see how the slippery roads effects my average. And it's still hovering around 10, as it has been since I bought the car.

Edit: I've started a thread on our Norwegian forum, to try narrowing down the suspects. They are currently: My spirited driving, my car using too much gas, or... uhm... You two driving as responsible adults.
That wasn't insulting, was it? I mean, I didn't use the word "grandmother" in any way?

I spend up to 14 hours a week in mine and only about 1/2 an hour total of that is city driving so my mileage is very steady.
I reset after the cold weather, ice and snow hit and the snows went on and it still came back down to my standard 7.3 with the rare blip to 7.4 but never, ever 7.2.

Yep, mine's an AT and I drive a lot of city traffic.
Still, it'll be interesting to see what our Norwegian average looks like.

Yup, totally different roads, but for the AT you should have lower consumption than manual. Guess it depends on your daily route.

I use the Sport and Manual modes a lot on the open road, and combined with lots of city traffic I haven't thought much about it, other than registering that is uses a lot less than my old E-class. I drove that hard, too :-)

Do you think this thread should have lived??? I doubt I killed it anyway as it seems to have become perpetual!

I usually use psi, but the SI unit of pressure is Newton per square metre = pascal (Pa). 1 psi ~ 6.9 kPa

You don't think the OP's original request would have got many responses?
Considering the small number of people that have actually contributed to this thread (the rest of you lurkers are cowards) and the number of topic changes it's had I think it has been quite entertaining.
Technically yes but I am old so I still use PSI (and miles, and feet whenever I can get away with it).

I'm embarrassed that the US stubbornly adheres to English units.

Hey do me a solid and enter into marriage negotiations with that hot babe. Bet she comes with a healthy dowry. Tell her I'm building a music room for her. That should seal the deal.

Oh and nice scenic pictures. Thanks for sharing.
