So for those of us with the old kits, will we be able to buy the new, partial throttle switch as a standalone unit? Same question for the new battery cabling as well.

Interesting. I was somewhat skeptical of the Bu-Tang log, due to the lack of throttle graph, and measurement going from 0 to full spool instead of from full vacuum to full spool, but after looking at my own logs, even at half throttle, vacuum immediately drops to ~0 psi before the ESC is ever engaged.
After examining three different runs, the instant full throttle is reached/ESC engaged, untill peak stable boost is reached, my logs all show ~.94 seconds. So 500ms is damn close to a 50% reduction in boost lag! Help me to understand what's up. the new updates include: 1. A lighter compressor wheel (ceramic? I honestly wondered about this earlier) Is this the primary reason for the reduction in lag? Will this be available to existing users and if so, can it be self installed? 2. A new voltmeter/switch harness with 3.5mm plugs (should make instillation even easier) 3. A new 2 stage switch, which will provide partial boost at ~50 throttle. Will this be controlled through motor pulse like drag reduction? Speaking of drag reduction, has it become obsolete? As we see very little to no flow obstruction at below 50% throttle, With partial boost at above 50% throttle, there doesn't seem to be any reason to have drag reduction right? 4. A software mod. I assume this is to the control module, so if this is purely software change, will it be available to existing users, and if so, I could only imagine that it would require shipping the controller back to Rob? 5. The new batteries, so better starter battery, and the new dump pack option provides approximately the same? better? performance than the 1.5 pack? 4.7psi at 3200 rpm is on average almost exactly what I am getting on my setup with dump 2.0. With my peak being a rare 5.08psi at 2700rpm. How is the cold vs warm performance of the new dump pack? does it require the same amount of warmup for peak performance as the old? I do not believe any new cabling will be necessary. You should be able to do what I did, which is, cap off/cover/heatshrink the two .5 dump connectors, and then zip tie them to the harness to keep them out of the way.

I can answer a lot of this: 1) new compressor wheel. It is lighter. I don't think this can be a self install as it needs to be balanced. 2) the new 3.5 mm jacks make it easier for rob to replace parts. 3) drag reduction: gone Partial boost: 60% pedal full: 85% - 95% 4) I'm assuming the motor controller was updated to handle the new speeds. 5) dumps: better performance and can handle more amperage. By better I mean they warm up faster. Starter: it's an odyssey I got new wires.

I'm sure there is an upgrade plan in place and don't forget we are in the early stages of this. No one else really has this and so there will be growing pains.

I'm still running the original dump pack. I'm assuming I can just buy new batteries and it would be similar to upgrading to the 1.5 dump pack correct? Also can I wire the new batteries without any additional hardware?

Thumbs up for partial throttle. This is exactly What this rig needs. Even a small amount of boost for this car is significant. Hope it works out.
