Maybe one of the wheel speed sensors?

if it's something that's happening under normal driving, it could be a possibility that one of them is acting stupid....maybe lol.

Are you running staggered size wheels/tires?

Garage
dude said he is running 235/40/17 all around.

im with slava here. PULL THE FUSE. what's causing it? the aids you are trying to disable lol who cares which one (there are many "e-nannies" at work). i read an article somewhere... i cant keep track i've read so much about this car... but there are like 3 different programs trying to keep initial D kids from crashing the FR-S/GT86/BRZ. just do like slava said and pull the fuse.

i will probably throw my fuse in the trash upon purchase
(and promptly crash like the initial D kids i was talking about)

Haven't posted in here in awhile.

If there's any drifters that are here that aren't in our fb group, then PM me or Tyler with some drift pics and we'll add you. There about 50 of us in a closed group, all actual drift gt86 guys, not facebook/playstation drifters.

We have a public/e-fame page up as well. See my sig.

Read the last page or two. Here's some answers...

Jordan, get a new tie rod end from whiteline. They were longer from memory, so will allow you to increase front track. BTW I wouldn't increase front track, unless you HAVE to. Like for more camber to tuck wheel in.

ABS Fuse - pull it. You'll only learn to drive the car properly without it.

Rev limiter - I raised my rev limit to 8000rpm and softened the limit. It didnt even bounce, it just sat at 8000rpm. #aintcare. I did lost of drifting (track and street) and never once cared about the revs I was doing. Also did a fair bit of circuit racing, same thing, full revs. Engine never missed a beat, or use oil etc. Never got hot either. And I wasn't even running an oil cooler. Although I shouldve. Because my oil would be dark after one track day, cos it would get too hot.

Re: Part shop max. I was talking to Dan the other day. The kits arrive end of Feb.

PSM have pissed me off with their delays too. But you have to understand their process. They develop the parts, test them. Then send them to their chang connections so they're made on the cheap. That doesnt mean theyre shit btw, it's just better for business to use a guy getting $20 a month instead of $20 an hour to make gear. Once they arrive in US, two sets are coming to NZ. One for me, and AJ will prob grab the other.

PS I'm not a fan of not running a swaybar. Swaybar is an important suspension component. Stock car has swaybar on shock, shock rotates with angle. Swaybar endlink binds up. So yeah stock setup, you could disconnect to stop that, but you want to be at least running damn heavy front springs, 10kg or so. But I personally dont see the point, as tierod starts to over centre not long after where the swaybar currently binds.

I still like PBM kit as it gives more angle than you need, simple, good lca adjustment, retains swaybar. Doesnt require rack relocation (wisefab)

Of course. All of that is just my opinion. The cool thing about drifting is that do what YOU want. More than one way to skin a cat with drifting. Do what feels right for you. Most important thing is get out there amongst it, don't sit back fretting over the details and shit.
10 years ago when I was a young broke ****, I ran compressed oem springs, a locked diff and a boost tap. All other money went on hunting for cheap 2nd hand tyres. ha ha

I'm totally cool with delays and stuff during the testing phase of the kit. I'd rather them take the extra time for R&D purposes and have it be a solid product, than just throwing some bs together and having it fail.

My issue was the lack of communication. I would be in the middle of a conversation with them regarding the product and whenever it came to the question of when it would be available, or when I would be able to place an order, I would get no response. That's between e-mail, messaging Dan directly, and even phone calls (no answers).

I know they're busy during the season, especially with all of the drivers they're supporting in FD; but it'd be nice to get some type of response.

Anywho... kits are set to arrive end of February then? That'll be interesting. I just ordered tie rods this weekend and am gonna put them on. Depending on how it is, I might just opt for the PSM kit when it becomes available. I'm pretty sure I'm going to end up going back down to 17s anyways.
