OP, put down the bottle of alcohol.
Seriously, don't let some people on a car forum get to you just because you looked at a car. Nothing wrong with that and I'm sure about 99% of the people on here have done the exact same thing as yourself. As a car guy, I've looked at plenty of vehicles and then walked away. Cars are huge purchase so as a potential buyer you have every right to look around. With that being said, I personally have always been upfront with the sales people if I wasn't serious about buying, sometimes people just like to "kick the tires" especially with newly released vehicles. Then there's been times where I just didn't get a good feel about the dealership and walked away. There's also been times I've bought cars without even test driving them so it goes both ways. Now, with all that said, I came onto this thread expecting a review and pictures of the car you test drove.

Thanks, I try not to let it get under my skin but it's just the unnecessary put downs that get to me. It just validates all the negative attitudes and put downs FRS/BRZ owners get for choosing this car, who cares why we love this car or our own personal reasons why or what we like that led us to buy this car in the first place, when we our own FRS/BRZ owners put down other FRS/BRZ owners just because they liked a certain edition over the base version like FIRESTORM pointed out. Heck he can be put down himself for choosing the color red for his car like "Red" will make his car hotter and go faster! Think about it for a minute... It is not just restricted to forum member Firestorm, there are other FRS and BRZ owners here in the forums that put down other owners too for choosing what they bought because it was NOT what they would have gotten themselves so therefore are below them or stupid? I am not surprised why our cars aren't perceived that great in the eyes of the general public but why throw in the mix our own FRS owners themselves putting other FRS owners down just because they like something else you don't. It just makes this car and the people who drive or buy them so awesome right? A lot of people already make assumptions and label BMW drivers in a unpleasant way, we don't need to add FRS/BRZ into that label as well. Sorry I didn't review the car much, because all I wanted to do was see it in person and feel the car and interior, but apparently I was an asshole for doing that in person instead of online or in a magazine like some other members here. From what I gathered from my experience with the car itself is I am very comfortable siting in seat, even more so than ours. It has a lot of setting here and there everywhere you look, and their non touch Screen/Nav/Audio, is now using a touchpad mouse like on a laptop to navigate. The Mark Levinson speaker system was topnotch and had great sound. For a 300hp engine, the ride was very quiet and smooth, you can barely hear the engine or exhaust, it just goes. I love the automatic sport handling mode where the back wheels also turn when you do corners, they call it rear steering I guess. But that was all I got from my quick drive since the salesman wanted to show me all this stuff so much and couldn't wait to give me numbers so I can take this baby home right then. Over all, it was an awesome but completely driving experience from our FRS. I just couldn't justify for a new toy, making $1000 payments for 60 months after a $5k down and $14k for my FRS to just drive the RC 350 instead of keeping my paid off FRS. I'm a big fan of even the basic RC350. It is stunning in person. That cut line in the rocker panel is gorgeous!
The back seats are about the same size in the Twins and the RC. haha If I decide not to buy out my lease, I'll probably move on to an IS. At this point, I'm loving the FR-S though, so I'll probably keep it. Sent from Tandy 400 |

Actually, given how many are on the roads, I think many of the people who dislike it (not all, mind you) are those disposed against Toyota/Lexus by default. My wife is not a car person, but even she has said the new IS looks awesome (especially in F-sport trim), and would entertain getting one. OK, maybe the spindle/predator face doesn't work as well on the SUVs though... |

I've said the same thing about the grille on SUVs. It just doesn't fit on the LX or GX. I love it on the GS, IS, CT, and RC.

I'd rather have an ATS-V at that price tag.

This looks to me more like a better-looking Genesis Coupe with a bigger engine and 100 more HP.

Many replies in this thread show that a number of GT86 owners are not so much car enthusiasts, as just people who are unable to afford anything more expensive than GT86.

Beautiful car and crazy power but needs to lose weight. And this part is disappointing: http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/..._f_comparison/
"The resulting chassis is part GS (front), last-gen IS convertible (middle), and current IS (rear)."
