I'm living at home until I get some of my student loans paid off. If I want to work on my car beyond cosmetic mods I have to bribe my friends with beer to use their garages. I also want to get new fenders and a new hood, but I have no place to put the OEM parts...

Anyways, I just got word from the guy making my T3Q retro logos. He said he started cutting them over the weekend. Can't wait to swap out the Scion logo for something a bit more special

Installed KartBoy shifter today. Taking my time it was 90 min. could be done in 45-60. Makes more of a difference than I expected. Installed shifter only. Shifter bushing and trany mount insert next. I would rate it as a must do. Excellent service from Kartboy.

Well...let's see...

If the what did you do to your FRS today is literal, then I installed a spec-d cat back. Although to be honest, I was surprised I was able to.

It's been dark before I leave work since the time change and I have limited light at my house and a sloped driveway. Ideally for this job, I would've wanted to put it up on four jacks stands, but that isn't feasible on my driveway for safety reasons.

If not on four jack stands or a lift, then two jack stands in the rear with blocks in the front. Sloped driveway takes away the feasibility of that too.

So I had to manipulate my car so it was sideways in the driveway, put on the parking brake and put jackstands on one side of the car in the front and in the back.

Getting the stock exhaust off the hangers is a bitch this way, let me tell you, but I got it all done in about an hour anyways and it sounds awesome.

It's basically an invidia N1 so it sounds almost identical to the N1.

If you count the last several days, I squared away and finished a band pass box with two tens and two 200W amps powering each sub in bridged mode, I installed tein S-Tech stock shocks and 20mm spacers in front and 25mm in back.

All in all for a few days work and $500 bucks, I would say it's been a good week for my car.

The difference in the sound, the Sound and the look and feel of the car is astoundingly different for just a few days.

No time tonight for a video or pics, but I'll try to get some up tomorrow.

Ordered the Supertek hood damper kit and the frameless mirror. Also talking to a guy in state about getting the INGS vented front fenders. Fingers crossed.

Ran over the equivalent of a caltrop and destroyed a rear Prius tire. Used it as an opportunity to upgrade to 225/45/17 Kumhos.

Nothing spectacular. Installed the GrimmSpeed Hood Strut Kit. A job that should have taken 30 minutes tops took 1 1/2 hour because whoever packed my kit can't count beyond 3. One of the 4 nuts were missing and I had to pick one up at my local Ace Hardware. Thanks GrimmSpeed.
Other then that the kit works really well and fits perfectly.
Their installation video needs updating. At about 3:33 on the video instead of using the longer 10mm bolts supplied with the kit to install the lower end of the strut they re-use the original bolt.

I got it from PhaseTekSport for $108.67 shipped. Their 5% off coupon, TAX14, still works. http://www.phasteksport.com/2013-FR-...brz-097001.htm
