No point to go on. The ricers have already destroyed the fascination of this car with plastidip, black roofs and cheap ugly tails.

I would agree, but we still have a definition based solidly on a metric that is, itself, not clear. If we can't define the other thing definitively then we can't define the next thing in contrast.

I think we'll have to come to the conclusion everyone has there own definition of a sports car that they yearn for.....

Just update the S15 exterior design and suspension design/geometry, give us an inline 4 turbo and a car weighing 2500-2800 lbs.... BOOM, car of the year.

A new light sports coupe from Nissan with a small turbo engine and suspension design similar to the 370z would rape... The 370z definitely handles better than the old Silvias in terms of design. The car itself is just too heavy and the engine not that impressive. An updated modern Silvia is what we need. This... this is what dreams are made of... ;(
Nissan hates us. The frog saved the company by making bland "units" that moved, but are now incapable or not interested in producing anything but a line of bland with one supercar 90% of us couldn't buy even if we wanted it, I don't.

I was out drinking with Mr. Tada today, and he told me (again) that the plan is to re-start and re-badge the Lexus LFA as the FR-S/BRZ/86. They just have not quite gotten 300K shaved off the price yet.
