Meguiar's DA (dual-action) microfiber correction system. Uses a Porter Cable dual - action polisher. Very safe and easy to use.

First problem is that you're using a chamois. These trap dirt like a son of a bitch and then get spread around your paint upon drying your car. Ditch it and use a quality waffle weave towel and wash it once a month with other towels, etc.
Shortening the intervals in which you wash your car can help too. Less dirt on paint = less dirt to be swirled around when washing. Try the double bucket method and use a grit guard. A good detail with a quality paint sealer/wax shouldn't show many swirls at all after washing. I can go 5+ months before I see any noticeable swirls and I drive 500 miles a week. |

Also agree with Jesse36m3, a good quality wax will fill in a lot of swirls.
I've got plenty of small swirl marks and rock chips which become near invisible when I put a nice wax on. And a tip if you're using a chamois or one of those squeegee dry dowels, don't drag them across the paint, just lay them on and let them absorb, and then wring out the towel. |

I use an automotive APC (All-purpose cleaner) and Ultima Waterless Wash Soap for detail spray. I rinse the car with a gas power washer on a low setting and then attach a foam cannon filled with APC. I foam the car and let it sit for about 3 minutes and then rinse. I'll normally repeat this step one more time if i haven't washed the car in about 2-3 weeks. Once the dirt, grime, etc is removed, I take 1oz UWWS and mix it with 22oz of water and spray it on each panel and wipe dry. My BRZ looks incredibly glossy overtime.
If you follow this method, you'll get next to no swirl marks. the entire process takes me about half the wash time! (compared to hose and bucket and washout method) Id recommend picking up some cloths from the theragcompany.com. A lot of detailers use their products. As for your current swirl marks, you'll need to polish it out to remove them from the paint. |

Another drying tip is to use detailing spray. Spray a couple pumps on the towel and each time you fold to help act as a lubricant

My wash is similar to jbsali somewhat.
I rinse the car with a 2400psi power washer from top to bottom, then use a foam cannon with CG Mr. Pink super suds to cover the whole car. Let dwell for 5 mins then rinse with pressure washer and cover car in foam again (I usually have enough left in the foam cannon to just cover the car.) Then 2 bucket wash method with megs Gold class wash and a microfiber mitt. Top to bottom and rinse mitt more frequently toward bottom of car. Final rinse with a hose with no attachment to sheet the water. Once most water sheets off dry the car with a $30 electric leaf blower. Touch up any water spots with detail spray and waffle weave towel. I tried the waterless wash once in the summer when my car wasn't even that dirty, do NOT like. There was definitely more swirls after the waterless than after my regular wash. Just my $.02 |
