Grimmspeeds intake is a very good setup and we have verified that it works on the dyno. We are also offering an OTS map that is for this intake... for free as long as you are an OFT user.

If you don't have a tune yet I would leave the intake stock in the mean time.

If you have any further questions feel free to give us a call or PM us and we will be able to assist you.

Cheers

1) K&N 69 Series Typhoon Intake - I really like the 6 hp 5 tq at second gear and it sounds pretty.

2) AEM Tuned Intake - I've been reading this is one of the best options because it comes with its tune and (i don't know if this is real) it makes 10 hp because of that.

3) Mishimoto Intake - I like how it looks, sounds and what Mishimoto offers, but I haven't seen reviews and videos of it and i don't know if it really makes the 10 hp and 8 tq and if is good.

4) Grimmspeed Intake - Like the sound, look and 6 hp and 7 tq but it needs a tune so... If it is good please someone tell me more about this CAI.

Any advice and help will be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Help to decide which CAI to buy in these days...

If you are looking for real gains get an openflash tablet first
Intakes don't do much for this car because it's so well designed from oem

That aside I did get a Grimmspeed intake because they're the only ones who spent an entire year designing it while documenting each step. I was extremely wary of other intakes messing up a/f ratios because there are documented cases. On a related note, GS was dynoed 3rd party by vishnu tuning. Something also not available from other companies

Truth be told, for the longest time, I always thought an actual intake was a waste of money when you could yield like 75% of the gains with just a really good drop in filter for less than 1/4 the price.

However, seeing everything that went into the Grimmspeed intake, I'm sold and purchased one. Haven't gotten it yet but I doubt I'll be disappointed.

If I was going to purchase any intake, it would DEFINITELY be the Grimmspeed unit. Otherwise, I would just stick with a good filter.

These are not "cold air intakes". They are short ram intakes. The Grimmspeed is the best short ram intake on the market.

True cold air intakes (Perrin, Mishi, Vigilant) have the filter element outside the engine bay.

I would say that any, like the Grimmspeed, that use the stock air feed are CAI. Just because the filter is in the bay doesn't mean it's automatically a SRI.

It has always been my understanding that the difference between a CAI or SRI is where the air inlet is located (inside or out of the engine bay). Not by the location of the element itself.

People consider the stock airbox even as a sort of cai just because the place it gets air is outside of the engine bay. Just like the grimspeed intake
