Possible to reach fumoto without lifting?
Hi there,
I'm wondering if anyone has tried to do an oil change with a fumoto valve without lifting the front of their car on stock suspension? Might be a bit odd to try and release the lever and have an oil pan under there as well. If anyone has any experience, please share

Depends on ur oil pan height. But I do it , only diff is that i drive my fronts onto a 2x6 to get a little more room. Also it's easier to pull the pan out after

Stock height here but I have an aero kit, so I drive it up on my ramps. I suppose I could do it in a pinch but I don't want to spill oil everywhere.

I haven't tried it myself yet, since an oil change is usually accompanied by a brake pad swap for the track, but it would be a tight squeeze for me since my oil pan is pretty high.
I will probably try the 2x6 thing when I do my next change since I won't be changing brake pads then. |

Not possible, jack the front end up, use some jack stands and make it easy on yourself. I have a fumoto quick valve and I always jack up the front end before I change the oil.

To update everyone - I successfully did a full oil change without lifting my vehicle yesterday (in my condo, no less). I Lied on my back and reached in with my left hand - note, was not able to reach while lying on my chest. I have a fairly flat oil tray that I compressed further (somewhat pliable plastic) and was able to squeeze it under the car.

Of course whenever lifting car and using jack place jack stands under jack points. "Just in case"
