Yep.

The last gen, stick axle, GT with the Track Pack hung with the V8 M3 around the track.

I expect the GT350 to be bonkers.

(I miss my 2013 GT w/Track Pack, but not $400 each tires and $150 oil changes)

I still think the redesign is too girly. Also the car is going to be too heavy for my tastes.

First mustang since the Boss 302 and the 03'-04' Terminator that I truly like.

Too bad its a Mustang. Call me shallow, but I like being unique.

Not going to lie, I really like that car. I have never been a big mustang person but that car is pretty great looking.. and that sound.

The last Mustang to have was the Boss 302 with the Laguna Seca pack. Ford said the new GT would best the last 302 but that seriously remains to be seen even with the new IRS. So far Ford seems to be coming up short on all the targets I had read about.

I know right? Why would you ever want a car that sounds like a pickup or tractor over that?! Heck, even NASCAR ditched the cross plane crank ages ago.

Last Mustang to have what?

I think a lot of the weight rumors were just internet fan bois making stuff up to get excited about. Just like has happened with numerous car releases like the Genesis, Frisbee Twins, CRX, etc.

Other than that, the new GT matches the performance of the old BOSS 302 (not the LS version), so that's not a bad place to be.

It was Ford that said the weight of the 15' was gonna come in less by a few hundred pounds and then realized it was actually going to be heavier, not lighter.

Jaden

p.s. Until the final weight numbers came in I was planning on getting one...

Better power to weight ratio but I bet it still corners like a brick.

That ecoboost 4 is laughable :P

Cadillac/GM pulls 272/295 out of a 2.0.

And lets not even mention Mercedes :P

Go drive one then. Even the last gen didn't feel/drive nearly as heavy as it was. And the S550 didn't gain THAT much more.

The Ford is a 2.3.

And I'll bet the Merc running 26+ lbs of boost won't last nearly as long.

People are getting 475 out of Ford's 2.3l turbo that was in the SVO mustang in the 80's with a single cam...It had an awesome bottom end. It will be interesting to see what the aftermarket can do with this ecoboost...besides I thought it was 2.3l, not 2.6???

a 3rd of a litre in displacement is a pretty large variance.
