Good luck and hope you figure everything out.
Was purely just stating what happened. If everything gets sorted out like I hope it will, i'll definitely be more upset for choosing that shop than ft86sf. Just like how i'm more upset with ups than ft86sf for the shipping speed.

Regardless your shop choice and issues there shouldn't even be in a review of FT86SF's business. Every company makes mistakes and it appears that Bilstein did. Jeremy will take care of it. I can't even blame that shop for charging you, they do have to pay their employee and it's not their fault either. Bilstein screwed up. I ALWAYS inspect items received immediately, so you screwed up too.

Shop dropped the ball too, they should have inspected the kit before agreeing to do any work.

What shop was this?

Neil,

As per out email conversation we are sorry this happened. We got your e-mail at 5:45pm yesterday and Yo replied at 5:50pm. We got your pics at 6:09pm. Bilstein got notified this morning and we're working to get it resolved with the missing shock sent and of course a return label for the 3rd rear shock.

We would love to check every single item that comes in our doors but that would require insane amount of man hours and then ruin the OEM seals / straps in some cases. Definitely unfortunate but we are getting this resolved as quickly as possible.

Thank you,
Jeremy

I have to add to the great service these guys are providing. Unlike many, these guys actually have what they display in stock. They recently got me out of a ditch that i got into by ordering a front-pipe from a couple of other "nonmentioned" vendors here. I say a couple because it was two different occasions in which they displayed an item in stock and didn't have it, so after charging my order and realizing they didn't have the parts, then they proceeded to refund.. creating a nice gap in my bank account with holds and pending transactions. Great service, good prices and their webpage is a pleasure to navigate. Defenitely check them out first and if you can't find what you need, reach out to them, they respond very quickly via the message application at the bottom of their page. Great over all vendor!

I have no idea why you guys are being so aggressive. If anyone should feel any emotion at this point it should be me, but It appears I have more confidence in ft86sf than the public. If ft86sf is as amazing as they seem like (and I have stated their amazing/good points in my uncompleted post), they will have everything sorted out and my story will end happily.

Addressing liability, bilstein does not sell directly to customers and regardless of your bias, ft86sf does carry some liability. Liability can fall to:
The product manufacturer
A manufacturer of component parts
A party that assembles or installs the product
The wholesaler and/or
The retail store that sold the product to the consumer.

If you purchase a faulty item at any store (e.g. target, wall-mart, etc) you do not bring up the complaint/refund claim to the company that manufactured it, but to the company that sold it to you.

Furthermore, this is my start-to-end experience with ft86sf. I will continue to objectively edit my first post with all events (good and bad) that happen while it pertains to this interaction with this vendor.

Thank you so much for your hard work. I understand mistakes happen.

As a side thought, it's kind of weird how these things even happen. The manufactures should have been able to easily catch this before it even leaves. Even a simple box weight comparison to the average with a resolution of 0.1th of a pound could have probably spotted this.

Large manufacturers, even with the amount of tech into their distribution and packaging operations, still make a lot of mistakes..

You'd be surprised at how stoneage most outfits are in terms of tech and followed internal controls

P.S FT86SF you guys are awesome. All 3 orders came swiftly, for the right price, and with some candy in the box. Can't beat it

I ordered my Bilstein Coilovers from Ft86 Speed Factory for an amazing price. Their cheapest shipping is ground so it took the package a little over a week to reach me (due to a UPS blackout).

The company I am currently working at is getting audited and is in the crunch time of their projects so I was constantly in 10-13 hour work days. Finding it hard to find the time to do the install myself, I called around and found a good shop to take it to, called in sick and went to drop it off.

After I dropped off my sealed coilover package and my car, the auto shop calls me that while installing the coilovers they found out that there were three rear coils and only one front. Having to drive back and pick up my car, I was then hit with the shops labor fees since they already uninstalled my wheels, rotors, and oem coils.

I sent an e-mail to ft86 stating that the package they sent was wrong, and even when they were supposedly closed, they promptly replied to my e-mail requesting photos of what was sent.

so to sum up day 1:
-great prices
-quick and good customer service as far as I have seen
-questionable products.
-hundred-ish dollars flushed down the drain and a days worth of work piled up.

Day 2:
Ft-86 speed factory promptly contacted bilstein for a fix in the morning and quickly reassured me via e-mail and forum responses.

Final edit day 3/4:
Sent an e-mail following up on my replacement coil, and it seems that they already shipped it out to me. They also used next-day shipping to get it to me as fast as possible which is awesome. I received it the next day, and they had a paid-for return call tag as well.

Overall Summary:
I had the unfortunate incident of having a mistake happen to me on my very first order from ft86-speedfactory, however, with ft86sf's amazing customer service no buyer should be wary of buying from them. If (and it's probably a big if) something does go wrong, they will do everything in their power to correct it in a very timely manner.
Thank you for the updates. Again holler anytime with any issues, we're pretty quick on the emails.

Ft86speedfactory is by far the best company I've had the pleasure of working with. Staff are knowledgeable, shipping is quick, selection is huge and ever-growing, and prices are generally the lowest out there.

Ordered Rexpeed Wide Mirrors (heated) on Jan 20, received tracking same day and received the item on Jan 22nd. Package was immaculately packaged and it came with the famous Laffy Taffy. Without a doubt will shop again and highly recommend FT86SF to anyone looking for parts for the FT86 platform.

I also ordered GrimmSpeed license plate bracket on Jan 22nd, received shipping info same day. I'm expecting the same great service as before.

TL;DR: Shop at FT86SF, they'll treat you right and you'll get some Laffy Taffy, which is always a plus.

So apparently one of the items I ordered from the guys at subispeed aka ft86speedfactory was out of stock so instead of a generic email I got a handwritten note from them explaining what happened!! This is by far the nicest thing I've seen. No generic emails here guys and this is why if rather give them my money

A satisfied ft86eedfactory/subispeed customer

I got a hand-written note for someone else (about a back-order) in my package! I hope they aren't missing their taillights too much! Everything else is as ordered and in good shape, so I can only assume it was a goof.
