I went to the drift event last night at Sears Point. The WORKS BRZ looked awesome on the course. Great driver. It was too busy and I didn't get a chance to go for a ride.

It was a crazy scene last night. Last event of the year, lots and lots of cars.

Hi @355rockit,

Unfortunately, our kit will not work with the TRD intake.

Has anyone pre-ordered one of these kits yet?

I think everyone is waiting on dyno numbers. That will really show what section of the market this is aimed at.

Works how about some rough numbers for WHP and WTQ?

Is it more than 250 but less than 300?

Also, I wonder if the Delicious Flash and Go tune would work with this kit?

I'm not sure why everybody is so up in arms with this kit - I mean rwhp numbers aren't out, but it doesn't seem like they're claiming massive gains with this non-intercooled kit! They're saying +35% power, which puts estimated rwhp (dynojet numbers based on existing stock numbers) at around 225. Sort-of direct competition with the non-intercooled Innovate kits out there, which have been working just fine (with a somewhat less efficient compressor to boot).

225 range according to their % increase claims.

How difficult would it be to limit the boost (or eliminate it if necessary) below 3000 rpm and run higher boost above that?
I would rather keep the car mild and protect the engine in the low rpm and make more power in the upper rpm. This is my view of the best of both worlds. Much less likely to lose a rod or have other damage and still be even faster if you keep the revs up.
Hi @mid_life_crisis,

Being our stage 1 kit, boost is conservative (low) at about 7.4 maximum psi and comes on around 3100 rpm.

Cheers.

Can your engineers of 40 years combined experience explain how placing a heat exchanger after the air filter, but before the turbo would benefit the system? By casual observation, it would seem that engine bay temps (post AC condensor, post radiator, with radiant heat from the header below) would be higher, if not the same, as the regular air intake temps, thus possibly heating the air before it even gets to the turbo. What was the rational behind this?
Hi mkivsoopra,

You're correct, the piece you mention was unnecessary and therefore was not used in the later development stages.
