Distilled water + water wetter here. Might put some anti-freeze in for the so-called winter here though, just in case.

Actually it's more chemistry :p
Everyone is right but I also wanted to add that water in our car does not boil at 212F because the chemicals in antifreeze not only decrease the freezing temperature of water but also increases the boiling point. So although normal water boils at 212F, water mixed with antifreeze "coolant" will see a significantly higher boiling temperature

Coolant right? Not good. why are you running so hot on the streets with such low ambient? I wasn't running that hot even in 90-100 deg ambient on street. Fans would kick in at 214 and stop at 208 so worst case scenario in traffic I would see those temps.

The only time I saw hotter temps than that on the street was with a leaking robispec radiator.

Right now with a 25 row setrab oil cooler, my coolant never goes above 200 and oil never goes above 160 on the streets in 60-70 deg ambient.

Thats whats getting me confused, I have a Koyo radiator installed and installing the Ptuning oil cooler today. Im very surprised I am going to check the sensors as well to make sure thats not the issue.

Where does your gauge get the temperature from? The absolute highest water temp my car has seen on the track in 100F degree weather was 237F via EcuTek logs using the single oem sensor in the car. Something is definitely wrong with that readout. Make sure you don't have air in the system, that would definitely cause a bad read.

I made sure this will clear the hood and it also clears the pipe. I will test fit the first set. The bracket is stronger/thicker than the pipe in the event of a front collision so hopefully the bar will bend or snap out the way and not punch through the firewall. The bar is only 18" long or so, so I wouldn't be too worried either way. Here are some pics:

Early mock-up of the design with paper and cardboard.

And the brackets.

And here is the finished piece! I'm going to test it out this weekend.

This is still my favorite turbo kit.

The thought of it with a GTX28 makes me giggle.

Last couple photos before it goes on the car. It's so gorgeous - I would totally mount this on the wall as a centerpiece.
