My enjoyment of the hobby comes from the build not the display. I give away many and have them displayed in Legions and Officer Clubs all over the country.
As it is, my house looks like the Davis-Monthan base with aircraft, tanks and trucks on just about every relatively safe (cats) horizontal surface.
Tony, your work is unbelievable. High art, sir! The detail!

Poor bastards will be stuck there with a dead engine for eternity.

So you put that model together? It looks good and I think I know which one it is as I have seen it at the hobby store before. If I remember correctly it was around $70 USD down here. Maybe someday...

Happy Birthday Marines.
Semper Fidelis!

I've been looking for a model of an A-3 forever. <sigh> Gonna have to carve my own.

Thanks.
I just noticed in the pics that the poor sonofabitch sitting in the Huey door has lost his sandwich and is holding air!
I spend about 6 hours of research for every hour building so I would hope they look good!

Maybe I will start a model thread as there may be more people that actually build them on here.

A-3s in pretty much any mark you can think of are easy to get. Cost about $60-75 online. Displayed on a deck base could look pretty good.
Shit now I need to go shopping!

USMC here, quoting this because my other project car is a 67 stang.

And now on this fine 239th birthday, the Marines are no longer tied with coast guard.
