Hey, ever see one of these before?
Medium well.

And I have about 1800 hours in one of those. Nice model though, done up in HMH-466 markings out of the West Coast (I was an East Coast guy).

Medium well was not the correct answer! You will get it rare and enjoy it.

Could have built it east coast as well if I remember right.
Is a great kit so when I see one cheap I will likely get it and do the other markings.

Hmmm, I meant to say medium rare, I'll chalk that up to getting old and senile.

So you put that model together? It looks good and I think I know which one it is as I have seen it at the hobby store before. If I remember correctly it was around $70 USD down here. Maybe someday...

Happy Birthday Marines.

Have a 100 or so models built so far!
This is the kit that one was built from.

That's a different one than the one I've seen at the hobby store. Cracks me up that the box says "US Marine Version". The Marines are the only ones with a CH-53E! It appears from that box that the East Coast markings are for HMH-461. I was an HMH-464 guy.

Ya, it is made in Korea so you get some odd statements sometimes!
Like the FRS the aftermarket has you back for markings!

True, the InterWebz provides just about anything you need these days. Maybe one of these days I'll take the time and money to put together a model of a CH-53E.

If I build another I will check with you on markings and then you can have it.
My enjoyment of the hobby comes from the build not the display. I give away many and have them displayed in Legions and Officer Clubs all over the country.
As it is, my house looks like the Davis-Monthan base with aircraft, tanks and trucks on just about every relatively safe (cats) horizontal surface.

Thanks mate, but no need to give me anything. I can always "give" you a case of beer, your choice of course. May I suggest one of my favorites?

Give a Yank a beer and Moose steak and you most assuredly will postpone the invasion, for at least a week anyway.
