The kit is designed so that with an off-the-shelf setup, it has an OE level of reliability. CSG will be one of the first, Cosworth dealers selling this system. The data we've seen is confidence inspiring, particularly given the transparent nature in which they're willing to answer all of our questions and concerns, unlike some other FI Manufacturers. As of now, the only cutting necessary for this kit is the AC condenser belt cover, and possibly a small trimming of the radiator air guide to let the heat exchanger hoses through. The kit retains the MAF sensor (unlike a previously popular supercharger). Please ask any questions you have, and I will answer to the best of my ability. |

What's your opinions towards this kit on reliability and heat management for track use, not just spirited driving. I know people have reported sprintex kit as an example suffers greatly over a 15 min track session.

I'm really glad to see more PD offerings coming to market, especially ones that hopefully wont be running well into the inefficient part of the compressors operating range. |

I traded some emails with a couple Cosworth guys and I'm not sure I was talking to the right people. They were claiming it was larger than a TVS1320. I'm 99% sure it's a TVS900 since it has a 22K RPM max speed, looks identical to one
and has an Eaton bypass valve. They said they would get back to me with the exact displacement tomorrow. The key to spinning them that high is the intercooler/heat exchanger and it looks like Cosworth has a done a good job of that. I'm guessing the setup may be produced by Magnuson for them but that's just a guess. They did a lot of the legwork with the TRD supercharger and the setup is identical. |

I'll wait until I get to actually test one to pass judgement on the performance; everything at this moment is either hearsay or based on what I saw in person on the car. |

Cosworth should be submitting the initial CARB application in the near future, after a CARB tune is developed. |

I agree with the other comments though, that other company as well as the parent company makes some dubiously stupid decisions.

So yeah it's an Eaton TVS900 as confirmed by the Cosworth guys. I'd be very very surprised if Magnuson didn't produce the kits for them, they had a joint kit in the past with the Cosworth NC Miata MP62 kit.
As far as displacement it's actually slightly smaller than the S5-210 Sprintex used on the Innovate kit. Roots blowers like this generally aren't as efficient as a twin-screw supercharger but they are including a decent IC setup which negates that. I would expect similar results on the street as with the Sprintex kit. It can spin to 22K RPM vs. 15K RPM max for the Sprintex S5-210 so ultimately as long as it's being cooled well it can make more power. BTW the other company starting with E uses the same TVS superchargers in their systems, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same 900 model... Last edited by xwd; 11-10-2014 at 11:16 AM. |

This has surfaced from a UK vendor on the kit:
