What are you tryin to say about my elantra? Lol.

Yeah. Fight fire with fire. That's a good way I am gonna get burned lol. It always comes back to the dude. And to be honest, I don't need her permission to do something. Lol. I guess she's just watching out for my financial needs lol.

I need to stop thinking about this. It's driving me crazy. I am keeping my deposits until I hear something from work on Monday/Tuesday.

Haha, nothing. I didn't mean it like that. Just saying it works both ways!

Handbags, shoes, clothes, makeup, salons, etc, etc, etc, can add up to more than a car payment!

And yeah, I think unless you're desperate to get the deposits back I'd leave them until you were 100% sure what you wanted to do. It would be such a shame if you started yanking them and realized it was a mistake.

As somebody (I think Cory) stated, certain things you can't undo.

Man marlon, you must be one big ball of stress right now..

You're going to have to see if you want this car bad enough that you're willing to trade the hyundai and deal with this car on a daily basis..i'm sure you can manage, honestly.

If you give me specs on the elantra, trim level, mileage year, i can tell you a VERY close guesstimate that the dealer will give you.

Oh..btw, we didn't check the port Very well..lol. The section JUST further WEST of where we were...I Drove past today...There was 1 Hot Lava, 1 blue, 2 blacks, 3 whites and a silver randomly lined up with other toyotas, like they were getting ready to be loaded onto the truck. The hot lava is definetly not the same as the XB version, seems more vibrant and seems to have more metallic in it.

Man! I hope one of those whites is mine. My salesman says that mine is at the "port of entry" NIIIICE.

So yeah, we had a brief conversation regarding the FR-S/BRZ purchase. It started with "what if i buy the car?" and it ended with "go ahead and try".

It's 110% official now, I have to retract all of my deposits in the next 2 weeks (I'll literally wait until the last minute of backing out just in case things change LOL) Its so upsetting that I feel like

To be honest. The elantra Cannot be traded in. I've already lost a lot on it so it doesn't make sense to trade it in. It makes sense to drive it to the ground (10 Yr ownership)

It does the following for me:
- give me the creature comforts that I want and canno pass up (heated seats front and back seats, sunroof, xm radio) I cannot pass these up.
- extra room for additional passengers if needed. I like driving my parents around and to/from church.
- takes all of the milage while being very fuel efficient, and being very comfortable
- very quiet interior, quiet and smooth shifts, electronic steering, responsive breaking and throttle control. I really like my elantra but on the other spectrum, I wish I could have gotta the extra features found on the limited version. Lol.

If I take on the fr-s, it's purely for fun.
- I have a lot to think about in the next 3 weeks such as:
do I want to trade in the car? What am I missing in my elantra that I want in a future econo car (possibly dual climate control, navigation, heated/cooled seats, panoramic sunroof, more cargo room for longer trips, etc)
- can I pass up on a economy car for 3 years as I switch to an FR-S
- can I wait 3 years to pass on the FR-S and get the next iteration?
- can I convince the SO that this was a good move for me. Lol. (I know it isn't).

Cody, you're right. I am one ball of stress right now.

I am soooo on the fence right now. Lol. I am working my ass off as I think about it, and as I study for my board exams to be fully licensed. Lol.

IT'S A FUCKING CAR! It's a big ticket luxury item that you have no need for. It should cause you ZERO stress.

Move out of your parent's house (or the bridge you are living under rent free ), grow that fuzz on your man junk, enjoy spending time with the missus - who should sure as shit be more important than a car - and forget about this silly chunk of metal, rubber, and plastic toy

You're in your mid 20s and have loads of time to 'worry' about such things later. You should be enjoying the new job, not letting the extra cash tie you in knots

Yea Marlon, As crazy as you are about this car,the reality is, the timing just sucks for you.

The smart thing to do really is to pay off the hyundai, get your work/career stuff sorted out, then re-consider this type of car again once you have "extra" money available to be thrown at it.

The good thing is, this car isn't Limited to a 1 year production...unless the world comes to an end this year....then sucks for you..

This car will continue to get better and better as it ages. Hell, i'm seriously considering keeping the WRX for a while longer, and reassessing next year when i know what the next WRX/STI and possibly BRZ STI have in store. The new WRX is going to be one amazing car..i know it.

I'm in the same boat mentally as you, as i'm sure alot of other users on here are. This car is New, Fresh, Exciting. Everyone is in this Honeymoon Stage with this car right now, i'm even getting a little excited thinking I have the opportunity be one of the first BRZ owners, but really...after the honeymoon is over, you're just left with a car. A car that will get better next year, a car that 3 years down the road, many of people will have. I'm telling you right now too, Subaru has "refreshes" so bloody often, your '13 BRZ will age VERY fast. Maybe not next year, but the year after I see them Tweaking the Transmission(stretching out 6th gear for economy) and/or Motor, and i guarantee you they will completely change the Front Fascia and make the interior darker/fresher.

This is one amazing car, no doubt about it, but it will be around for a LONG time, that is clear. It'll also progressively get better , so don't turn your Financial and emotional life upside down over this car....It's not worth it
