Sure people can define words as what ever they want but my saying a seat strapped to an aardvark is a "sports car" does not make it so.

If you take Webster's as an authority on definitions then not only does the location of the drive not matter the Twins barely qualify as "sports cars"

The great part would be that the Pony Car crowd would also say they have to be RWD!

This isn't a thread about semantics or people with tiny ****s who struggle to find meaning in life..

No, this thread is about Acura long standing marketing strategy called:
VAPORWARE!

I think Mazda should change their motto to: "Providing you all the cool shit Honda only promises."

Webster's is not a good source as anyone can publish a book and call it 'Webster's dictionary'

Oxford English Dictionary is where it's at.

Point remains the same, just calling out that Webster's is not nearly as reliable or universally accepted as OED.

WOW Strat first time I have ever been told I was using the wrong dictionary!
And then citing Wikipedea as an authority on anything.

Still makes the point that to be defined as a "sports car" it does not have to be RWD.

Grassroots Motorsports has an article in the November issue which defines what a sports car is. It is written by the designer of the original Miata. Interestingly, there are pictures of cars in the article that do not strictly meet his criteria so he admits that there are exceptions and that the term "sports car" is hotly debated.

I personally do not care what you call it. The Integra was one of the best handling and fun to drive FWD cars ever made and its performance was on par with anything in its class which includes RWD models. Plus it was affordable and practical. Honda/Acura could do worse than try to repeat that magic.

When discussing things that can't be proven with formula or various firsthand accounts yes I go to the largest conglomeration of knowledge we have available. Here's another one but I'd call it less credible than wiki, never studied the subject only talked about it with people who I trust know more than me.

I guess it doesn't really matter since Acura won't revamp the Integra anyways.
