Pretty much, I've heard both in person and I thought they were very close if not identical.

I wanted something that sounded close to stock with a slight bit of growl and that's what it provides. It's perfect sounding with no rasp or fart can sound. My gf never even commented on an increase in sound and I didn't tell her I installed it.

top speed autorace catback

Hi! I have two questions.
which model is the best race ramps for use with the frs?
and
I have to decide between top speed axleback or top race car sped dual catback .....
I fear that the autorace dual catback, it's too loud, intrusive, flashy, police attention, and to classify me as a ricer ....
the rumble sound liked this video

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EdPjffxch0"]Turbo BRZ with Top Speed Auto race exhaust - YouTube[/ame]

you lost power at low rpm?
the exhaust pipe is too low? in this video seems to touch the ground
Thank you for your help

Just ordered the Top Pro Auto Pro-1 Axle back! I'll be pairing it with a Tomei UEL Header with stock over pipe, front pipe, and mid pipe--let's see how everything goes!

I still love this exhaust after a year. It has the perfect amount of sound, not too much and not too little. When I added the UEL header it only got better.

Still not happy about the fitment but it could be worse I guess.

Just installed my Axle-back this afternoon--man it sounds extremely tame and quiet! Comparing this to my previous cat-back, M7 T-Titan, it's no where as loud as that thing was. The Top Speed Axle back is like a 5/10 in terms of shear volume, whereas the M7 was like a 8.5/10 and stock being 3/10. It's a fairly quiet exhaust, even while cruising and blipping the throttle, I can barely hear the exhaust in the cabin. Additionally, when I do blip the throttle, it seems that the noise goes out of the rear and not into the cabin, which is great for a daily driving! Even pairing this with the Tomei UEL Header that I have on my car, it's still really tame! It's so quiet that I just might add an aftermarket front pipe (resonated for sure) in the future to bring out the rumble--haha. Currently with my set up, Tomei UEL Header -> stock over pipe -> stock front pipe -> Top 1 Axle Back, there's a smooth and progressive rumble when accelerating and decelerating. Definitely not bad for a sub $400 axle back. Fitment is exactly what others have complained about, the right tip of the axle back seems to off centered about 2/5 of an inch. Overall, I'm quiet satisfied with the exhaust and I agree with .ck that this is a gentlemen's exhaust haha.

On a side note, has anyone paired this with an aftermarket front pipe, if so, how does it sound and is your front pipe resonated, catted, catless, or a combintion of one of the two?

Would love to hear sound clips of your setup. I've been looking to do the Tomei UEL with the axle-back only.
