3rd gear at around 65-70 not sure about the rpms it all sounds the same to me after 5k

Tip from my old 83 Corolla: parking brake adjustment: While rolling SLOWLY in reverse, stop car only using hand brake. Pull quick and hard. Repeat about 10 times, rolling and stopping. Profit.
Just tried it on my FR-S in the parking lot and the boot is no longer stretched tight. (Seems the automatic star adjusters work better in reverse). |

Glad to hear it worked for you! I've been driving Toyotas since the 80's and this trick has worked on all of them. Since the FR-S is partially a subie, didn't know if it would work the same way. I think I read it in a Chilton's manual once way back in the day.

adjusting the drums fixed it
i tried the rolling back while pulling the hand brake but didn't really work |
