I am actually having VEX do the build for me because they gave me a deal.

I need to pawn off a kidney for some more tires and a AP Racing BBK for spring now.

Yeah I know, but I haven't really been hard core trying either. The offers I have gotten have been low ball offers too and I'm not settling. Worse case is it's back on the car which really isn't a bad thing lol.

In comparison to a completely stock vehicle, yes, the drive-system noise is noticeable.

With the cog pulleys on the charger, crank and even the idlers, the system itself is fairly calm.
If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me and I can answer anything you've got as well as dig up a pretty good deal for the kit itself.

It's not that loud. The trade-off in sound is worth any extra noise, maybe if you drive it a lot every day in traffic with no stretches or turns it might become annoying, otherwise it's a good kit.

Take a look at some of the kit reviews or vlogs on YouTube for ride along sounds. I think postbreak has some good vlogs.

I found that a small amount of belt dressing reduces the kits noise with a day/night difference.

It does not get rid of the whine, it gets rid of the sound that is created by the belt rubbing the side walls of the pulley's. I use Prestone Belt Dressing.
