Yeah for every person that I know that likes them I know at least 1 that hates them and another 1 that simply tolerates them because they have to.

Let's see, my first track day was with Chin at Sebring in 2002 and was $300. Looks like they're now $325, so a bit less than 10% increase in 12 years.

Yes I was agreeing with you and pointing out that the track rental and associated fees have increased more than that percentage over the last 10 years.

Yeah, tracks have been increasing their rental rate as they get more popular and the demand for track days grows larger.

Dave organized a Road America track day with the ITR group, I'm sure he can also appreciate just how ridiculously high track rental prices are. Road America is one of the highest priced tracks out there, outside of COTA, which is simply in a different universe than other track rentals...

Yeah.. RA with all the extra nickel and dime crap included is over twice what Sebring costs.

Has VIR raised rates a lot on your this year? they gave us a 17.5k/day quote for Full which is like twice as much as last year. WTF! PittRace full (once finished) = ~13k per day but not sure what that includes. MO = 12k/day, Putnam = 10K per day. Sebring, last time I looked, was ~10-12k per day for full.

Based on these numbers PBIR is WAY overpriced.

Are the garages included at that rate? Either way, that seems reasonable in today's market.

They have clear rules for dive bombing and your front wheel has to be at their front door to have the right to the apex. I like having clearly defined passing rules.

As well as clearly drawn out illustrations in the Appendix of the CCR of who is at fault from any resultant contact.

I've been trying to reach mylaps.com to find out the cost of timing so we can source some sponsors to help with it. Anyone got their number? They don't list it on their website and I submitted my sales inquiry last Thursday.

Yeah VIR always slowly goes up on us, but for a while they kept their rates low, until they realized what the other tracks were charging. PittRace should be a good, fun track, but I still think it's too much money for a track that isn't considered a top tier track (Sebring, RAM, RATL, WGI, VIR.) Sebring is a bit higher than that, add a few more g's.
