Totally forgot about this post. Thanks for the responses. Still trying to find good deals on these things. There's been a couple that have popped up with less than 20k miles for about 20k. Not sure if that's a good price or not but it seems doable. |

These are just the cons I personally feel:
- blind spot - hard to seat more than 2 people - retards tend to be more aggressive driving near you because they know their cars are faster (but deep down they're jelly because your car looks so damn good) - if you are in Aussie, GPS/head unit is atrocious but I can't justify spending another 800 or 1 grand for new HUD. - if you're in US, the FRS label. - not a fan of the high rev sound of this engine - windows easy to scratch for some reason. - seat heater is not necessary for Aussie market. - would be nice if it had memory seat/steering wheel position if you're not the sole driver |

My car doesn't rattle or chirp.
The chair creaks a tiny bit from time to time but it comes and goes. |

My cobalt has poly and solid mounts and bushings everywhere, I'm not worried about rattles lol.

Blind spot - Yep but no worse that many cars out there and better than some. The Camaro has a blind spot that eliminates half the road. Seating - If you buy these as a family car you made a grave mistake right from the start. Back seat is not pleasant but works in a pinch. Don't go into the taxi business though. Aggressive drivers - They are going to be pricks anyways. Just smile and drive. HU - They pretty much suck no matter where you are. If you really play with the controls you can get them passable but that is about it. Scion label - US or Canada. Is it really that big a deal what the badge is? Engine revs - Delete the sound tube and this almost goes away on stock. Throw a different exhaust on and it can be sweet! Window scratches - Sure do! Found this to be the case with my Mitsus as well. Must be a Japanese thing. Seat heater - Ya, what brilliant mind gave them to the Aussies but in Canada you need a special edition to get them. Memory seat - Weight! Not an Audi or Lexus. And djmm, I agree with your later post in that I have zero rattles (yet) and only had crickets for 3 days after using some ethonal added gas.

I might think about plugging the sound tube but then again I dont drive at high revs often so it's sort of okay. What's troublesome is when my wife drives the car, she adjusts the steering wheel position and it takes awhile for me to readjust the wheel to get the perfect position for me. It's just free flow adjustment with no 'clicks' in between like the seat adjustment, therefore it's hard to adjust. I'm still trying to figure out best way to readjust steering wheel properly. |

My wife won't even ride in mine much less drive it so I can feel your pain on the adjustments!

I just want to say something about superchargers, if you're doing it wrong then yes you're going to have heat. A lot of twin screws are offered with optional water cooling. Do it. And centrifical chargers are just a belt driven turbo, use an Intercooler. Have a twin screw without Water cooling option? Meth injection. Go ahead and use a turbo without an intercooler or charge cooler and tell me it doesn't produce heat. You're compressing air it's a no brainier.
"You have to pay to play" and "if you can't afford to do it right, how can you afford to do it twice?" come to mind here |

I knew what I was doing. Have you ever looked at the Eaton m62s themselves or the set ups they have on the cobalts? It is a water cooled intercooler and intake manifold. Its not very efficient. It had a tune with very mild timing and it blew when it was about 40 degrees out. The cooling system for the cobalts suck. I know all about the pay to play mentality. Iat's were running about 120 with the supercharger compared to nearly ambient with my turbo

This. I get this all the time. Rice cars, race cars, lots of trucks, people just assume that you want to race. So if you have a tender ego, you may want something that is actually fast. Me...idgaf, so I let them race around like idiots while i laugh at them.

If you're looking at FI systems from a heat perspective, I think you have it backwards. Turbos generate much more heat than superchargers.
For blind spots, anyone who has major blind spots has their side mirrors adjusted incorrectly. Your side mirror should pick up a car just as it's leaving the rear view mirror, and once it leaves the side mirror you can do a head check and see the car directly. You'll have very very minor blind spots immediately next to your rear wheels, but nothing big enough to fit a car into. Cons: Interior space No long term testing on the various FI kits out there (50K+ miles) Pros: The most fun to drive. |

The biggest con is not owning this car
![]() I've had mine now for 3 months, 6500Km and no issues or cons to be found. Realistically nothing is perfect...like a con can be found in a Lamborghini also.
