Traded her in for something a little more practical for daily use on my end. I am going to miss this car.

Did some drifting for the first time (if snow counts).

First small snowfall and had to try it because I still haven't changed my stock Michelins to studded winter tires.

One trip on the freeway without that blue mess and it's already rock chip city. Better get that clear bra done before your OCD kills you.

Yesterday, spent 2hours jacking up the car with my crappy jack and then under the car to install the mtec shift springs. Also removed crappy eBay hub rings that were causing my wheels to wobble because they weren't flush with the hub... Some things you gotta pay full price for...

They definitely feel stiffer than the stock springs.
Will be going to a driving school event tomorrow, so I'll offer more thoughts later.

Install wasn't too complicated - like others have mentioned, the hard part is getting the 27mm and 10mm nuts out because of the loctite, and then threading the 27mm back in by hand (after cleaning out the loctite).

I'd budget more than 30 min if you don't have access to a lift though...

I managed to fit a ratchet (1/2" drive) with a deep 27mm socket into the trans tunnel without removing the exhaust... braced myself against the front LCA (I think that's the LCA) and pulled.... wear gloves - you will get scrapes.

I think the worst part was hand-threading the 27mm just right (I needed a short screwdriver/pick to scrape out the loctite after soaking it with goo-gone - I don't think the goo-gone helped much)

Did it on my back with 4 jackstands - definitely would be easier with a lift (or at least a better jack than my Torin Blackjack)

Installed Supertek intake pipe and drop in filter.
Still had to trim about 3/4" off the airbox coupler, took the pic before i removed the rest of the sound tube assembly.

Last edited by Kotu100; 10-25-2014 at 11:48 AM. Reason: Supertek not SPT

I traded it in. I don't know, I had hopes for it, dreams maybe. But... I had to let it go.

Here's hoping it goes to a worthy owner.

Anyone looking for a low mileage (Under 13k) BRZ Limited in SSM in Denver? I can tell you where it is.
