Both the At and MT have a good postive feel from engine to driveline due to the car being carefully engineer to be a sports car over any other constraints at the design stage. But like any consumer product, it isn't tuned to be overly harsh, and agressive.

MT is the way to go if you are a purist. AT is the way to go if you want to become more proficient in the driving methods of modern sports cars which increasingly rely on electronic override assist to find more speed.

MT feels more direct than the AT at initial start as that's when the torque converter is not directly locked to the driveline. After launch though, the FRS-AT is shifted by electronic clutch packs for engage each gear internally in the transmission and not at the torque converter so much, so it is pretty precise and very predictable in up and downshift timing.

The clutch in the MT is just as in many modern cars, very light as they are hydraulic assisted. The overall feel is very direct for a production stock car, but there are ways to tune it further with aftermarket if you prefer.
