Although admittedly, if I blew up a RB fender, I could see fakes being pretty enticing.
Because Either way you look at it $450 is a lot of money, and could be the difference for him in getting them painted and fitted.

$500 fenders + Labor IF they fit close enough; is a hell of a lot cheaper than $950 fenders + labor.

Lol I still paid for my kit and it's not about being rich... I sell phones in a mall for fucks sake.

Instead of partying, after bills and expenses I set aside money for about a year and drove around my s13 just stacking as much as I could and sold off stuff that I didn't need to fund this build. It wasn't 100% free like you are thinking, my v1 I still paid a decent amount for my kit and shipping as well.

If this kid wants to fuck up his car, it's up to him. But I do make fun of fake rocket bunny shit because it's ridiculous to cut up a car around 25000 to install a fake china bullshit copy.

To the people thinking rocket bunny is played out... It will be with all these fake ones rolling around. Spend the extra 450 and save yourself thousands down the road and the shit people are gonna say to you including me.

Fuck the fake shit.

except if these fit correctly you wouldn't be able to make fun of the fake ones because you wouldn't be able to tell if it was fake. God forbid you make fun of another user's car with real stuff on it by accident.
It goes both ways right, you make fun of them for their fake stuff. They make fun of you because they have 90% of the look and a heavier wallet.

Keep buying from China, the products get better and better every day. I work in manufacturing. They have cheap labor that risks life and limb to make molded parts, they have the expensive machinery to get the job done. It's not about the quality to me because honestly they are close enough. They are on a mission to replace everyone. Building a economy based on the theft of others ideas and designs is very profitable even at half the price.

It sucks when you're the guy rolling the dice, buying a car, developing a part, running that thin line of making it and total bankruptcy. Kei Miura made it and now you get to give him the finger and tell him that he wants too much but thanks for all the hard work because you got it anyway sucker!!!! You're clearly not a fan of Kei Miura when you buy this kit, you care about one person and that's yourself. It's cool, we are all a bit selfish but that's exactly what it is.

It's great when you're the guy buying the original kit and just simply remolding it and selling it under an established brand name. You just wait for someone to type in Rocket bunny and sort by price and bam you're top dog on ebay! The first guy took all the risk, and you get that profit!

There is a thread that discusses the pros and cons of replica parts, but I don't think that's the OP 's intention with this one.

Can't wait to see more pics. Aloha, my family is from Hawaii.

Honestly interested to see how this works, not because i'd ever purchase it but because i'm just a curious person.
And no need to hate on this guy, some people genuinely can't afford to buy the "real" thing for some of these mods. At least he is doing something tasteful with his money...it's the people who put tribal graphics and underglow kits that need to stay in the realm of civics...

OP - never updated...I'm guessing the knock-off Chinese made crap disintegrated once he tried to put the parts on the car

Tbh I wouldn't buy this kit myself for one like most said in earlier post I spent a lot on buy my BRZ and as of right now I wouldn't want to chop up my car less than 9k miles in. 2 if I were to go wide body I would go with a trusted manufacture that I've seen samples of like the rb v1, v2, ml24 ect. Even the km4sh kit is only $2,000. 3. This will or might be a permanent mod on your car. You would want it to to last for a while. This is a wide body for god sake. It's not like a rear diffuser or a front lip that you can take off by removing some screws and bolts. Like I said before OP bought this with his money, it's his car, his kit, and his consequences. This might be good for Miura San, the kit might come out pretty bad and it will show people to go buy the legit kit. To be honest a lot of things that we use on a daily basis are replicas/clone. The original car was a ford and japan started to make cars. There was an original wide body out there and they came up with that original idea. If wide body's weren't invented Miura San wouldn't have came up with the RB. It's just all reinventing the wheel. If they were to label it as a different named kit instead of RB clone/replica kit it would be ok. I deal with a lot of Vapor products and deal with clones, replicas, and trademarks all day. Just don't brand it rocket bunny

If I was the OP, I also would not bother to update with all the drivel and holier than thou bull$hit that has been posted on the last 3 pages

Whilst I am not supporting Chinese, or any other countries manufacturing or economic policies , I would just like to point out a few facts
1) Anyone know who owns the most US$ in the world?
2) Who has been buying up most / all the Western countries bonds that they have been selling to get out of the financial mess caused by the fiasco of 2008?
3) Anyone care to comment on how Japan got to where they are / were as a great industrial nation?

Just realised - I have just added to the worthless posts in this thread

Still fails to account for the unabashed and outright theft of intellectual/property/and copyrights by the Chinese for decades...and that their currency is propped up by artificial mechanisms that most couldn't even understand if they tried (just like the U.S.)

Well, RB carbon fiber costs $2700 w/o Wing. Not everyone is willing to spend that kind of money. I work in automotive engineering and certainly don't like to idea of stealing designs. Stealing designs aside, obviously this knock off kit is not the same quality or even the material as RB. So it might look the same, but obviously it is crappy. it'll degrade in time...
I like to put myself in other people's shoe from time to time. So it is OP's choice to go this way. not quite different than buying any other knock off products, watches, bags, pirated software, etc... If X person does not have the means to buy a $10.000 watch and will not ever be buying one, is it okay to get a knockoff at $100? How do you guys justify this? he's not doing great, should he stick with actual watches at ~$150 that he doesn't like the looks of? or just be happy to own a watch that resembles an expensive watch, use it for few months and throw it away? it'll be his $100 thrown away at the end, but he'll be happy as long as it lasts...

the catch is always quality and reliability...

honestly I looked at a ABS version of RB kit, which is ~50% the price of CF. Everyone looks for cheaper alternatives everyday for everything they see and want to buy. I don't see the blame. If I were RB I'd perhaps make a ABS kit and sell it, so that knock offs don't keep popping up...at least this way they'd have more control on their products.

Is everyone crazy about weight savings? carbon fiber vs cost? I'm not. I don't really care if I shave off 0.01 sec of my time with CF, neither does half the people who bought FRS/BRZ/86's.

not defending anyone, but trying to get people to think differently.
