racelands are hands down the best coilovers if you don't care at all whatsoever about anything aside from being low, purely from a cost standpoint.

If I wanted to lay frame(unibody?), I'd go adjustable, and talk to JRi shocks about this setup: http://www.jrishocks.com/shop/street...c-ride-height/

There was a Jetta with all seasons and racelands that got 3rd place at a BMW autocross event.

Heh....
Racelands aren't so bad. In Queens you see plenty of people run them. Are they good?
Well...

Ha that's probably not what he's going for. Probably a pricey setup too, JRI makes some good stuff. Not really sure what their street stuff goes for but they are making Indy/Nascar/military suspension I can't imagine its very cost effective. Awesome guys though

I hear ya. When I worked on the Viper GTLM program, we used JRi shocks, they were just down the street, and I never realized they did a setup like that, or I would have been talking to them about being a test car. I'm sure that would be the only way I could afford it, lol

What did you major in to be able to do what you do? I need to figure out what I want to do when I grow up (retire from the military) and what you do sounds like fun.

I have an associates degree in mechanical technology. Started out working as a draftsman on a drawing board, and now I am a full fledged CAD jockey, but they call me a "design engineer".
