Has more than one person really had issues melting motor mounts? Got any links? I was under the impression that it was a one time problem for someone using known poor fitment turbo kit.

Yes, fitment was a little tight to the headers but did clear. We have since updated the pan to provide clearance in those areas.

Thread size on the pan is: 1/2" NPT.

Pitman,

I received the Oil Pan a few weeks ago and installed it on the FRS. Their was one spot on the Pan where I had to contact @racerx1715 as it touched with the AVO Header. I still have the Oil Pan on the car and still driving it at this point. Jeff stated he was going to look into that.

Edit: I learned if you raise the motor it will tilt the engine forward enough to where there is room between the front crossmember and the pan to get a socket on the back three bolts. So you don't have to take out any motor mounts, just take off the nuts holding them to the crossmember.

Also don't take the drain plug out after you put the pan on the car, because by the time you do oil will have collected there and drip on you...

We have confirmed fitment on the following headers/turbo kits:

OEM header no heat shield
P&L header
JDL header
JDL turbo kit
AVO turbo kit (Rev 2 oil pan)

We have had 2 customers that used the Nameless header but have not had confirmation on fitment.

Do you have any customers that have confirmed fitment with the OpenFlash Header?

No I don't think we do. If you would be interested in checking the fitment, shoot me a PM.

Racer X Pan does not fit with FA20 club turbo manifold. It hits on the right side. If you smash in the tube it works though lol.

JDL clears like a champ.

Any confirmation that this clears a Openflash Header?

Came from the MR2 community where we all loved your products. I have PTuning headers and would like to be a part of testing the clearance.

Yes, please report back your results - I have the PTUNING header and would like to know if the Racer X Fabrication oil pan clears our header.

No, we have not had any customers use the oil pan with the Openflash header. If you would like to try test fitting the pan send a PM or email to info@racerxfabrication.com
