I called SoA, they told me that I am still wait listed. They also told me that they favor west coast people, "we get west coast to get cars now", while we east coasters suffer. Seems shipping times and costs hate east coast, so subaru focusing on west coast. HMPH!!!

Maybe they're actually taking boats to the east coast and gulf states which is why we haven't gotten VINs yet, seeing as how VINs are paired with VONs at port.

Cars allocated for Minnesota / Wisconsin / Ohio could be coming in on the West Coast ships as train routes from there are probably cheaper and faster (sparsely populated routes) and hence those people up in the northern states are getting their VINs as well.

Is the front end damage the car took landing covered under warranty? Since this was an "emergency" I'm sure the high rev situation during break-in is covered.
