Loss of power/stall under light throttle.

I developed a bit of an issue today.

Basicaly the car sputters and cuts out above 2-4k rpm, and pretty much constantly under load, repeated throttle application results in a stall. Ended up having to get a ride home and bring the car back with my trailer today.

I initially was suspecting coil pack but there are no codes, and shows no misfires.

Here are logs.

Heres a video while parked in neutral.

Engine wise. Car has kraftwerks sc base kit, delicious tune, vta catch can.

Any advice, direction to look would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Vacuum hoses are on and clamped, when i popped one in may before clamping the result was surging.

This is a flat out cut.

Just put a camera snake down to see both sides of rotorex unit blades looked normal, turned freely with crank.

Changing to spare map sensor now and checking everything else. Bit early to be starting car directly under bedroom.

Will try pulling battery terminal too.

No codes is the weirdest part.

No luck

idle is also smooth, not surgey like in the past when i've had leaks.

I flashed a friend's turbo car and it did something really similar to this.

Issue was that we flashed his car for 4 bar MAP sensor but he had left stock one in there.

Quick sensor change and everything was perfect.

This the car cut out mid autox run.

Tried an extra map i had (kw sent me 2).

And also tried a maf off another frz.

No dice

Next step i think is tilting maf elbow up to remove from plumbing and stock map sensor and tune

Removed the sc plumbing from the equation, flashed to stock, stock map sensor.

Finally got a misfire in #4 to show.

guess picking up a coilpack is next?

on this car i've gotta undo a motor mount and lift the engine a bit to fit right?

With the proper tools, it can be done without lifting.

Awesrome. Thank you sir

I know on my forester even though plugs were doable. Because of how it sat lower than an impreza it was juat about easier to lift a side at a time. Eliminating that was the best part of removing the sibframe spacers (other than geometry correction).

Near 40k and hard use.

Maybe just lift and do plugs anyway?

Any plug reccomendations?

I don't know if there are any plug options other than stock ones.

Plugs require more tools/cursing to get done but if you are there and want to do it might as well.

There's posts in the forum for tools used to change plugs and it involves a few short swivel extensions.

I had that sort of sequence on the forester, Even with a bit more space it was misery.

Thanks

Put a boroscope on throttle body its opening.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibhGH7iYbrc"]Throttle body boroscope frz brz - YouTube[/ame]

Not sure if this log has any relevance with the throttle position sensor.

http://www.datazap.me/u/utekineir/mi...data=5-7-40-42

Also removed the sc pulley adaptor taking the load of the sc compressor off of the crank. No change.

On initial start I was actually able to rev up to 4k+ then the bogging commenced.

Going back to thinking spark related.
