Yes. I auto X.
Yes. I don't like toe.
Yes. I take my factory car to an alignment shop, because I auto X and I don't like toe.

Thank you for playing.

Seriously, "What part of personally I don't like toe" makes people feel like they have to defend toe in daily driving?

Did I say that factory cars do not have a degree of toe/camber/caster etc? No. I said Personally I do not like the idea of my tires driving towards or away from eachother on my daily driver.

So if you don't like toe on a DD, but it sounds like it's somewhat necessary for STX setup, the solution is to figure out how many turns equal what in adjustment, and mark it.

How does the stock toe adjustment in the rear work, anyway? I haven't taken a good look back there yet.

The factory Rear toe adjustment works.. but with the limited range of the factory eccentric bolt.. but IMO there is not enough range on it to do 'exactly' what I want.
To each his own, on the toe, I just find it keeps the car more stable under transitional load. so I am never fighting a 'loose' condition without some way to combat it. Rebound and compression is not enough.. Ride height has something to do with it too. Also Rake.. For my Driving style, I find the setup I have chosen to go with best suites me. I will say that others that have been in the car like how it feels, and how it transitions, and these are top caliber drivers.

I run zero toe front and rear. I daily the car in summer and drive to events. Yes, I still have some tire wear but I buy new tires every year anyhow.

I'm also switching to RS3's for next season so I'm hoping for a bit more grip from that change as well.
Has anyone experienced any significant differences between the 245 and 255 sizing?
I currently run 245 Dunlop Z2's on a 17x9.

I am considering switching from the Z11 to the Z222 next year, but a lot of people have told me they don't like how soft the sidewalls are on the Hankooks.

I also have a dilemma of sticking with 255s or dropping to 245s.

I'm curious on Dunlop's new compound myself.
At pro-solo I was the only guy in STX that wasn't on Hankooks... so that tells me a little.
Hankook pays contingency too which is nice.

We don't get anything up here for contingency so we are free to do what we want

I found my ZII's (original compound) were noticeably better with feel and response than RS3's (new compound), but the RS3's definitely stick a bit better. The StarSpec compound might make a big difference though, haven't driven them yet.

I went with RS3's this time because they were $350 cheaper than ZII SS in the same size.

Jeezus they are $15 a tire difference from what I have seen on average.

I didn't like the ZII at all, bought a set and ended up just selling them after a few events. I didn't like the small range of slip angle they gave. With some changes to the car setup and driving I could have probably made them work but the RS3 was a proven choice. Shall see what happens with the start specs. Don't know if I will bother to buy a set to test or just wait and see how people are doing on them.

Agreed. Not a fan of the small temperature window either.
