sorry for the crappy pictures, carbon fiber doors on trial and carbon fiber fenders to go with the carbon hood, still need to do the trunk. These are the first prototype, we hope to make them fit better this winter. Car is out today for it's first shake down put it is pouring outside, won't be able to test too much...

around 35k so far without any engine mod, we'll need to add about 7k for engine power.

I'm quite enjoying this build... Just seeing that many wires would make me cringe. Keep up the good work.

Id love to see some more on your process of making the cf parts. I assume using the factory part to create a fiberglass mold? Using resin infusion? wet layup?

How much weight did you saved on CF doors?

doors don't weight much, under 6lbs and i beleive the stock were 45lbs when stripped of everything.

Carbon is made out of a mold of fiberglass using the stock parts yeah and it is done under vacuum for resin infusion.

we are starting to do the trunk now and we may do the roof if we have some time.

Really like what you're doing. I wonder how much fun it'll be ripping in that car...

Didn't updated this in a long time but we just started working on it again, here is a teaser, full aluminum exhaust, from the overpipe to the back, center exit

Picture of it and the 4 years old full exhaust lift, yeah it's that light, we'll weight it later

well total weight of the exhaust is precisely 11lbs, i beleive it is a saving of over 45 lbs from the factory front pipe and rear section. Only thing left to do is a tail pipe which might be made of carbon fiber, the owner is crazy about that stuff...
