if you have been in one, you will know its more of a quality of materials more than the look of them. the vettes have always felt cool inside (c6 at least) but they just make it kind of ugly for some reason

A big improvement over the fisher price inspired interior on the C5's. The parts that count are the ones covered up.. That's where they put the money and kept the price affordable. Can't complain about that logic if you want to go fast with the big boys and the exotics.. While keeping the price real.. All my vettes were trouble free.. I had a rear seal on the trans leak on my C6. T-top squeaks and such.. None ever left me stranded.. People don't realize what it takes to make components stand up to the HP and TQ of the stock LSx engines.. How many Japanese or Korean cars come factory equipped to handle 450 HP and 430+ FT lbs TQ ? It's way easier to build low power, low tq cars and make them last, then it is to build tq monsters with lots of mechanical grip and make them last.. Those who own vettes soon forget the interior quirks once you hit the gas.. So much mechanical grip and instant power. Way more to love than to complain about.. |

Already went through this dilemma.
If I got a C5 Z06, I wished I purchased a C6 Z06 If I got a C6 Z06, I wished I purchased a C7 Z06 Fuck it, I will just leave the money in the bank and just sit back and watch them depreciate in value. Eventually I will make a decision. By that time the C8 will be out! lol |

Yep it's been done a bunch of times.
- Dynosty did an 11.1s @ 128 mph making ~406 whp. - Fullblown did multiple 10 second passes (10.3 fastest) at 116-140 mph. LOL. - A board member (Dipstik) did 11.1 @ 129 mph. It's just a matter of time before someone breaks into the 9's.

Those Exocets (made from Miatas) look pretty awesome for a more affordable solution though. |

I'd also take an exige simply because it's still a car without being so raw. Atom's will try and kill ya!

why is it anytime you bring up a true downside to this car you are bashing it, im convinced most owners came from mundane cars and finally feel what a rwd sporty car is like and think its the best car ever. I am also beginning to think most members here have actually never owned a highly modified car or these wouldn't be the opinions, owning an extensively modified car sucks something is always breaking or going wrong you just cant touch a car that is engineered to be fast.
