I'm still really really tempted to do it but I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger. I finally drove a 2015 WRX last weekend and it was a much better car than what I remember my 2012 being. The steering and suspension are without a doubt a huge improvement.
The gearbox is still kind of so-so (still better than the old one) and the power isn't bad but the delivery is definitely different. I feel like if they put some sort of FA motor into the STI, then I would almost definitely sell my FRS and jump into one. The normal WRX just doesn't check all of the boxes and I feel like the new STI probably would if it came with the updated FA engine in it. Only time will tell.
