Yeah. Notched the control unit itself and then drilled some recesses that could slide the control unit into. No bracket needed, but requires some commitment lol

Didn't take pics during the install, but I just listed the high level overview of "mods" you have to do - cut some notches in the controller, cut the bottom of the tray, and create some notches in the tray for the controller to slide into.
Thanks, it's a good start. Will revisit it next year to make it pure show. Unfortunately, the tank and compressors are hidden under the regular trunk floor.

I'm laughing because the fact that it's all hidden under the regular trunk floor is my goal and it's an unfortunate side effect for you. But your setup looks good enough to run without the regular floor for shows. I'm hoping to get to work on it this weekend and come up with something similar.

With that said, I'm torn between 225/45-17 and a 235/40-17 for the front with a 5mm spacer on the 17x9's. Thoughts?

tell me, what exactly are you torn about... the moral dilemma of stealing bread to feed your hungry child? the difference between a 225/45 and a 235/40 is nearly inconsequential considering that the rim is 9" wide! One size will look a bit more stretched than the other and that's it. pick the size that won't rub and call it a day. torn he says! good lord

The difference is about 3/4" in height and about 1/2" in width. The stretch involved will be part of determining whether the tire will rub on the bag. SO the dilemma is if anyone has experience running these combinations in order to save me buying the wrong set of tires and having money left in my wallet to feed my hungry child. The goal in asking is to determine which one won't rub while maintaining the widest possible tire with minimal stretch to reduce any potential issues while running on the track or canyons. My appologies if my vocabulary offended you.

do you have any particular reason for wanting a wider tire? as the other user suggested, get the skinnier tire to avoid possible interference. seems to me like you want to push the envelope, there's really no need to

The 225/45 is stretched on the 9" wheel. I just don't want to have to worry about it on the track. I've never run stretched tires. The 225/45 tire recommend a 7-8.5" wheel. The 235/40 is good for a 9" wheel. Obviously, I could go to a narrower wheel, but I would prefer to save the money and run what I have if I can do so safely. If not, then I'll buy a 17x8 wheel and run a 225 or 235 on it. Oh, and I do like the concave look of the 9" wheel.

what is the nature of your worry? if this was a 205 or a 195 I'd raise an eyebrow... but a 225 (remember, mm, or aprox 8.6-8.8 inches) and a 45 (quite large) sidewall is by no means an issue for a 9" rim.

Well, that was the nature of my worry. That I would be at risk to roll the tire off the wheel.
