Negative. One of the specific reasons I bough the BRZ over the FR-S is because of the red backlighting. Blue is terrible for your night vision and causes eye fatigue. White isn't much better. Green and red/amber are great for it and easier to read. /rant |

I agree. As it is, there is no way to prove you have a genuine Series.Blue I don't think (I don't think there's anything odd about the VIN, I'd love to be proved wrong). Not to mention they could (not saying they would) make more to meet demand for them. Plus, down the line on resale it's going to be hard to prove it's a special edition. |

I mean the blue stitching should be a proof...yeah people could try and replicated it, but i doubt that it's worth it.

One could swap the interior or buy all the parts from the dealer I'm sure. Ultimately I bought it because the parts to replicate it from the outside are more expensive than the mark up was to the Series.Blue ![]() That and it was gorgeous just sitting there tempting me

Swapping the interior would do the trick. But the blue interior is only made on 1000 of these so unless someone installed different seats and got rid of these (which is stupid, you'd just get the limited for that) or got it off a wrecked car, I don't see it happening. Unless someone replicates it

I asked the dealer about the numbering and they said that the VIN would identify the vehicle as a Series.Blue. At least it would when pulled up by the dealership.

Congrats on the new Blue. Looks just like mine (LOL). My insurance came up as a Limited (I think it was). Did not show as anything special.
