Quick question, how many time can you get the fuel pump changed through the service bulletin? I got it swapped, and with the new pump it got even louder... and the dealer here (maui toyota) said they can't do anything except notate the noice...

I think it depends on when you got yours replaced. According to the TSB, there were updates on 3/19/2013 and 10/17/2013. If your pump is older than the most current one, then I would think they should replace it again. If you already have the newest pump, then I understand what they say.

FYI, I got mine replaced in May of 2013 (not the newest one) and it's still chirp free now after 1 year and 4 months.

On my 2015 it started to chirp really bad after filling up at Tesoro. I've gone through 2 tanks of Chevron since then and it has quieted considerably though it is still there. I only hear it when I'm in drive thrus with the window down though.

My car was out only for about half a day. But at least the noise is a lot quieter. It doesn't bother me that much any more.

and I thought I was the only one with this chirp chirp noise, a lot of information I'll experiment in my own cause all this time I've been running on Costco gas once at Aloha. I'll try something else later to see if that works. I got a 2015 FRS it started maybe over 30 miles over.

I prefer Chevron but buy Sam's and just deal with the chirp. For 30-40 cents per gallon less I'll deal with the chirp.

I don't have Chevron anywhere near me. Chirp started right around 1200 miles, i got ~1600 miles now and its getting really annoying. I use Costco (93) and Shell (V-Power) but no luck with chirps getting away from me. I don't think its worth getting fuel pump replaced as there is no evidence of it fixing the root issue. Do you guys have any other suggestions?

Octane is not the issue. Ethanol is the problem. If you can find ethanol-free, 100% gas, try that and see if it helps. Mine only chirps if I run 10% ethanol, and then only sometimes, not always. But it never chirps on 100% gas.

Since yours is 2015 model, I'm pretty sure that the pump you have is the most recent version of the pump. I wouldn't get it replaced.

Here is the main thread for the chirping noise. There is too much to read, but this thread has the most information about this noise.

If I were you, I would just leave it as is since there is no real fix as of now. You could add some additives to the fuel every time you fill gas. I don't know what additives top of my head, but that big thread has that information as well.

Yeah i agree, i have no plans of getting it replaced. Oo well, i guess we all will have to deal with it.
Thanks for sharing the thread, i will go over it in few.
I thought about using additives as well but was not sure which one to use for this car. I have few bottles of [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Chevron-9280-6PK-Pro-Guard-Injector-Additive/dp/B00C7GWOCM/ref=sr_1_3?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1432071228&sr= 1-3&keywords=chevron+additives"]this[/ame] sitting at the house, bought for other cars not sure if its safe to use it on this one as well?
