FYI Engine Chirping Fix
 

Just took my FRS in today for this:

Although the TSB says it only takes 2 hours to fix, my car will be spending the weekend at servco after 9+ hours of being there today. Just an FYI if you are planning on taking your car in. They did mention that this was the first car brought in for this complaint so I understand that they are learning the car as they work on it. Im not really complaining as they gave me a loaner just wanted to give the other members a heads up.
Also this is the second time I had to bring my car in as they didn't have the parts the first go around.

UPDATE: Just got the car back today. They worked all day friday...they dont work on weekends...then apparently the only guy that can do it called in sick monday and they finally finished it today at 3pm. All in all they took over 18 hours of labor. Also there is a fun little part on my work statement about there being "road testing". This was further confirmed by the fact that my temp gauge was at about 50% when I picked it up. I hope this isn't to be expected of servco. Cause it was some pretty crappy service. But I have now paved the way for the rest of you lol.

be prepared for it to not actually fix anything. the chirps are coming back jsut like when the car was new after a few hundred miles.

Well that sucks, I know its not a real problem, but the sound just bothers the shit out of me.

mines getting worse and worse!!!!!

Yep, mine's getting worse and worse too. I can hear it up to 2k RPM. The frequency of the noise goes up as the RPM goes up. So, I hear it when I cruise at 35 mph in 5th and 45 mph in 6th. It's a bearable noise, but embarrassing in a parking lot. :( I'll bear with it until they find a fix that actually fix.

My crickets are overshadowed by my SRT exhaust. Bwahahaha! But sorry to hear everyones troubles. Hope a proper OE/aftermarket solution comes out soon.

ANyone tried to find some non-E10 gas? I'm not sure anyone has it in Super though.

Is there anyone who got this done by Servco and the noise didn't come back after 1k miles?
