There was an extremely clean SA for sale earlier in the year locally, but it had been sitting for a long time and needed a fresh rebuild. If I had a house to keep it at, I might have jumped on it.

My wife and I are in the process of getting a new home (hopefully by the end of the year), and next year might be the year I get a rotary again. It really is an addiction. I wouldn't mind 12A or 13B, have worked a bit on both. My old one that got wrecked into was a TurboII with 300whp, but I know I probably will never find another one that clean without giving up an arm and a leg.

they are rare to find a clean one, i was shocked when i ran the carfax and it said the car is originally from buffalo ny, couldn't believe its spent all of its life here and has no rust. dooo it, you know you want to! if this 12a ever pops, i'll probably swap in a 13b, that should be quite hairy

figured, last week i ordered a shirt from blipshift, dealing with my honda, guess it doesn't apply anymore

Nice find, I always feel like the 1st gens never get the love they deserve. Would kill for a GSL-SE in that kind of condition

One was a parts car. The other was a DD. the third was caged and setup for drifting.

I'm a big fan of the S2000 after driving the boosted one we just had in the studio last week. I imagine it's still pretty fun to drive N/A, but I would love to own one someday.

Nice pick up on the RX-7's. I must agree with Skurge, they really don't get much love

S2000's are a car i think everyone should own at some point, there's just something about them that puts a smile on your face

(this is her coming out of the garage today to take her last ride to the new owner)

and picked up 2 rx-7's, both 1984's, one is damn near showroom condition with 54K on it

the second is a running/driving parts car(which i'm probably just going to sell)

what do you guys think?!?! i know i know, s2000 blah blah, they are amazing cars, but i've always wanted a clean 1st gen RX-7. years ago i owned an 81' that was a rust bucket, couldn't pass this up!
Have had both. The 1st gen RX7s are fun. We raced a 1st gen in SCCA IT7, I drove the parts car to the races often.

I've only considered another S2K for a track car, otherwise zero interest in ever owning one again so I'd say good move.

i'll probably end up with another S2K at some point in life, i loved that car

it mostly came down to the fact that the motor was tired and probably needs a rebuild, needed body work, brake work, a clutch soon i'd imagine(113K on the original) and it wasn't really something i wanted to dive into, finding the FB just pushing me to do it sooner

i mean, its a great little car, but not something that i'd drive everyday, as when i get out of the car, i smell like i've been riding a 2-stroke snowmobile for hours haha, i'm sure my coworkers love it!

personally, i wouldn't get rid of your frs for one, if its just going to be a weekend cruiser, then go for it, but i doubt its something you are going to want to drive everyday
Thanks for the insight, wouldn't mind a second report a couple months down the road too.

For me it's a character thing, the FRS just doesn't quite interest me, even when I bought it I knew it was a bit of a compromise. It does everything I need it to do excellently, I'm sure the hairbrained idea will drop out of my head eventually, I'm just too young to know what I want.

Oh and I sympathize with the narrow thing, my other car is a Nissan D21, feels a good foot narrower than the Toyobaru, it would be miles easier to park if it weren't long but that's what trucks are for.
