Not the shocks just the controller, the early ones pre 2008 didn't do anything but set the shock to soft and hard. We have retrofit controllers plug and play that use brake pres, G lat G lng tps streering and a few others to actively remap it in about 30msec this is what I added to my FR-S as a test car. Wow...are these the prototype damptronic bilsteins that was posted a while back? Sounds amazing. Can't wait to hear more about it when it releases. Though I bet it wont be cheap.

Besides the PASM system on it...Who's doing the hardware parts components on this system? Bilstein?

What are your thoughts on the new Spool Valve system on the new 2015 Camaro Z28? That too sound very progressive, futuristic and amazing. Idk exactly how it works, except from the videos I've seen on it...but it kinda sounds like Ohlins' unique piston valve design, where there are different sized ports in the piston and valves that open and close during different shaft speeds (for ultra digressive performance)..I could be wrong though...

Is the Spool Valve/DSSV (on the Z28) pretty much similar to the piston concept of the Ohlins (like the R&T Ohlins and all their other dampers)?

This tells me that fundamentally the Twins are 90% there in terms of a Cayman equivalent chassis but the suspension is lacking in the spring/damping balance compared to a PASM chassis. From what I’ve read the problem lays in the damping being too strong & not letting the wheel move fast enough. So the first order of business with the car is to sort the damping/ spring synergy out which means you do one of two things
1) Get slower/weaker dampers to allow for faster wheel movement.
2) Get stronger springs to allow for faster rebound reaction.

While it maybe cheaper to ‘fix’ the spring weight to get the better movement I think a PASM Cayman will ace a stiffer Twin on UK back roads. So you’re looking at the more expensive route of sorting the damping. Normally I’d head for Bilstein B4 dampers, but it doesn’t seem they exist for the Twins so maybe the B6 dampers.

You've got the right idea, but try playing with some 2 way dampers, and you'll know exactly how you want it done

Porsche GT3 is available only with PASM. Their high performance street cars are not very analog...

Yea, he has 2 of those for the IMSA GT3 cup, he is heading to Austin to race this week, they are coil over spec cars where changing the toe 0.030 can loose you the race, amazing cars. I guess if you put the same 200k into a Scion it would handle and drive like a Porsche.

Show me a Cayman that I can get two bikes in the back ... but anyway as far as I'm concerned a Cayman is a wannabe anyway.

A Cayman is a WAY better starting platform than a 911. If Porsche could give it 911 level suspension and engine output it would destroy 911 sales.

I love 911's, but from a physics standpoint a Cayman is far superior.

I wasn’t thinking of the 911, I was thinking of something altogether smaller & much lighter.. oh and build in the UK
