Black FR-S badges and emblems

Hi everyone, I became a proud owner of a 2014 pearl white Scion FR-S last week and I was thinking of changing my badges and emblems for black ones.
I was also wondering if Plastidip would be a wise choice.

I'm opened to all suggestions so let them out!

Thanks in advance,
Marc,
Canada, Quebec, Trois-Rivieres

Plastidip works fine. Hit yur emblems with about 3 or 4 coats and you should be golden!

Personally, I think plastidipped emblems look horrible. They look cheap, like you wanted black emblems but couldn't afford to do it right. The plastidippies will no doubt jump on me now for thread crapping, but if you're asking for opinions about what looks good, I would think you would want a range of real opinions instead of just a bunch of cheerleading from a small group of people with questionable taste. Resist the fad.

I do think the black chrome emblems can look good if they're done correctly, and that's still something you can do yourself.

His question was "will it work" not "what do you think of black"?
Although now you have broached the subject I don't care for the black look either but to each their own!
Also can never quite get the concept of rebadging to Toyota. Ashamed that it is Scion? Think Toyota is cooler? The Scion badges are actually a lot of fun around where I live because most people have never heard of it and have no clue what make it is.
P.S. Not a slam I truly don't understand why people do it!

No, what he said, and what I was responding to, was this:

The answer is no, it's not a wise choice, because it looks like something a redneck teenager would do to his mom's hand-me-down econobox.

HMMMM Guess it is different interpretations of his request.
Looked at from your perspective of the requests meaning I would agree it is not a "wise choice"

What's the best site to find all the badges? Front, rear, Toyota, & GT 86?

I really like the satin finish on the Scion steering wheel badge. I haven't looked close enough to know if the exterior badges are the same.

Well, thanks for all the replies but I was wondering,
I live in Quebec Canada and wish to use my FR-S during winter.
Do you think Plastidip will resist throughout winter?
And how hard is plastidip to remove from emblems if I ever want to go back?

Thanks again.

Plastidip will hold up against any kind of weather, esp. cold. The day you decide to remove it, it will peel right off, as easily as the day after you applied it. It's magical.

I did mine, held up no problem through last winter.

also, no it does not look like 'crap' if you do a good job of it.
what will look like crap is screwing up a badge removal!
