I do pretty well in pvp, But i still laugh when I get WTFPWNEDBBQ! By a guy 15 levels higher than me because his weapon is 400+ dmg to my ~125.

It means that base gear and weapons are normalized.

Special perks on weapons, class abilities, and other things you'd get from having a higher level are not.

Ah so base DMG on weapons and Base Defense on armor are normalized, But attachments ETC (upgrades) are carried over. But not the damage and Defense bonuses?

Too bad it doesn't show headshots in the results for pvp like it does pve. I was lagging a bit last night, but there were several times where I would've sworn I shotgunned someone right in the face and all I did was knock off their shield and a tiny chunk of life. Also plenty of times that I traded melee kills, lol.

No, but it's been quite some time seeing as Reach came out 4 years ago. Still my favorite Halo to date. Bloom DMR dominated.

How is it a secret if it's been a prominent mechanic in their work for >13 years in the public eye? Halo CE released in 2001 after all, pistol OP and such.

Even Marathon rewarded targeting specific parts of enemies 20 years ago.

every fps ever rewards headshots. And if the enemy doesn't have a head it has some form of weak spot, pretty much

Counter-Strike didn't do much rewarding, but it made for really cool blood splats in 1.6!

Destiny is very much a hybrid mmoRPG. Not everybody playing is an avid FPS player. Many of my friends came from games such as Diablo and FF to try it out and aren't as familiar with FPS mechanics. As you can read in earlier posts people are struggling to find success in PvP. I simply stated a good tip for those who are seeking to improve in PvP. It was not meant in any way to be taken as condescending or the only recipe for success.

Eh yeah I definitely came across condescending, it just seemed like 'omg protip time headshots yo' as if it was actually new information so I perked up.

Nintendo is doing a sale to hype the 3DS version, I impuslively bought Yoshi's New Island and then I realized that they're probably going to discount Link Between Worlds and then I'd be buying Smash on the 3DS which would be >$100 on 3DS games in under a month.

Somebody has been studying Valve...

It's the first time since Star Craft 2 that I'm buying a game (SSB3DS) without seriously evaluating if it's worth it, Smash on a handheld will either be perfect or as forgettable as the Wii.

Edit: Japanese version hits tomorrow, American October 3rd.

I always enjoy my xbox's. Last gen I had the 360 and PS4, sold the PS4 after a year because hardly played. Right now I have a 3000$ Built PC and my Xbox One. Will buy a PS4 eventually just to have it but not needed yet. So Xbox it is for me.
