Yes, aftermarket UEL headers will produce wrx style rumbling.

Except you may make less power right where it matters due to the inefficiency of scavenging inherent to the UEL design.

How long until we give up educating people (old greg knows his stuff, but may have given up already...) and just point them on where they can get their 'fashionable' stuff done?

There are going to be so many of these cars with UEL headers, slammed on no-name coilovers, wearing staggered wheels and STI Brembo brakes it's not going to funny...

The best part is I'll likely hold on to my Brembos until the summer's over and sell 'em to someone. Don't care if they won't work, not my problem anymore.

And for the most part, I'm starting to give up.

IMO this exhaust brings out the flat-four sound characteristic the most vs other aftermarket exhausts I have heard thus far. Nice!

to people making ricer comments- This is a 4cyl car after all, and will have a 4cyl exhaust note, which people tend to associate when thinking of "ricer" sounding....Luckily the flat-four configuration gives the car a unique exhaust note, which I like. We will just have to see which aftermarket provider accentuates the boxer sound the most.

Like many others, I wish it had UEL headers for the sound, however in an N/A motor EL headers are preferred to maximize gains.

For all those who want the boxer engine sound, please just buy a WRX. Dont ruin a perfectly good design for less power. The maker has spend x amount of $$$ of R&D for this car for someone to throw all that away because they want to slam the car and make it sound "raw".

I told my buddy that the Japanese ppl who at Nissan who did R&D on the 370Z where crying in japan because he slammed the car lol

It amazes me at how many people disregard beneficial information and go against advice just because "its cool." Not only here, but other Subaru communities as well.

The exhaust looks awesome. Excellent craftsmanship ! MSRP $1600usd before shipping tho, I would consider if they price around a grand.

This so far seems like the best sounding one, if the video is accurate.

In the import tuning community as a whole, actually.

I'll definitely be looking for these used. Though, it looks like you might lose some ground clearance in the axle back portion.
